2 Real Doors and 1 Door Mural in Warsaw
The density of cool doors in Warsaw is not super high, especially outside of the rebuilt Old Town. You definitely have to work to find them, but they are there! Sharing a few of my finds.

So much beautiful architecture in Alcobaça and so much of it in disrepair...
Three doors from Santorini this week: a weathered turquoise door worn like sea glass, tucked behind a blue railing, the glass-paned entrance of Hotel Kavalari with the sunset caught in its panes, and a white door numbered 87. Cast your vote and let me know which one's your favorite.

Gritar's grimacing foliate masks took door of the week honors with 46% of the vote, comfortably ahead of the ram's head knob (29%) and the fish escutcheon (25%). New theme's live if you want to cast your next vote: Doors of the Greek Isles, Santorini edition. https://doors.sidewalksafari.com/door-of-the-week/
Love the mid-century modern vibes.
This week we are zooming in on some door details. The theme of the Door of the Week competition is best escutcheons in Europe. Cast your vote here: https://doors.sidewalksafari.com/vote-for-the-best-escutcheons/
Team Xadrez won a close race with 43% of the vote.
I love door hunting in New York!
Last year around this time, we were in Norway to see Europe (of The FInal Countdown fame). I was delighted when we went to the town museum in Tønsberg and they had a poster of "Tønsberg Doors" in the gift shop. I didn't buy one, but I did go door hunting while I was in town. Such colorful doors!
You can find a surprising variety of doors in Lisbon. Sharing a few that caught my eye recently.
A friend who lives in Ericeira showed me around on a day trip from Lisbon last January, and these three doors stole the show. Vote for your favorite: https://doors.sidewalksafari.com/vote-for-the-best-blue-door-in-ericeira-portugal/
Last week's Colorful Doors in Zurich competition wasn't close. The scarlet Osteria Santo Bevitore door pulled 60% against a weathered green shopfront and a lavender townhouse door.
I visited Figueira da Foz in Central Portugal recently to see Sting in concert. The hotel we were staying at was right next door to Palácio Sotto Maior, so we took the guided tour.
The outside of the mansion looks old and dilapidated. The inside is as opulent as they come.
Check out my door of the month post which includes a Palácio Sotto Maior door photo gallery including a dizzying array or interior doors, each one more fabulous than the last.
Gothenburg is my happy place when it comes to doors. So many unusual and interesting portals to seek out!
A few shots I took on a walk around Coral Gables in February.
Not sure what to make of this one...
