Help me build my portfolio/recommendations
Hi all,
So I’m new to this whole new world of investing and portfolio building.
What would you invest in?
I put some into VTI but what else should I invest in?
Thanks,
M

I’m posting this in a few different pregnancy loss/stillbirth groups because I’m trying to make sense of what happened to me and hoping I might find someone who experienced something similar.
This was my first pregnancy, and I lost my baby boy at about 24 weeks.
A couple of weeks before I found out I had lost him, I had my anatomy scan. I initially told them I did not want a transvaginal ultrasound, but I was told they had to do it. Since this was my first pregnancy and I didn’t really know what was considered normal or necessary, I agreed.
The abdominal portion of the ultrasound was extremely painful. The tech was having difficulty getting some of the images she needed, so she was pushing very hard on my abdomen and moving me into different positions trying to get better views. It hurt a lot, and afterward I actually had bruising on my abdomen that lasted for several days. At the time, I assumed this was just part of an anatomy scan.
A few days later, I started experiencing significant abdominal pain. I reached out to my medical team with my concerns, but I also wondered if what I was feeling could just be round ligament pain or another normal pregnancy symptom. About two weeks after the anatomy scan, I went in for a checkup and learned that my baby no longer had a heartbeat.
Afterward, I had extensive testing done trying to understand what happened. My baby was also evaluated, and ultimately nothing was identified that gave us a clear explanation for the loss.
I want to be clear that I’m not saying the ultrasound caused my stillbirth. I genuinely don’t know what happened. I’m just going back through everything that happened beforehand, and I keep thinking about the fact that the scan was painful enough to leave me bruised for days.
For other loss mamas: Was your anatomy scan unusually painful? Did you have bruising afterward? Did you start experiencing abdominal or pelvic pain afterward? Did you have a transvaginal ultrasound as part of your anatomy scan? If you experienced a second-trimester loss or stillbirth, did you eventually find out what happened?
I know other people’s experiences can’t tell me medically what happened to my baby. I’m just hoping that by sharing this in different groups, I might hear from someone who experienced something similar and make a little more sense of my own experience.

I’m planning to do a 10-day water fast with the goal of improving my overall health, mental clarity, discipline, and resetting some habits.
A sister between 25-40 years old, who might be doing something similar or would like to be accountability partners. We could check in once or twice a day, share how we’re feeling, encourage each other, and exchange tips.
Ty!

Starting tomorrow 7/25
Also, if exchanging info is not something you’d like to do, we can keep this chat open to everyone who just wants to start it and need accountability🤍
