Are Marsh map empty of stones

Hi

I am building in a marsh for the first time and damn, there is 0 stones and I only found 1 spot with clay, barely enough to make some stuff.

The fast majority of the map 1e layer of ground show as soil or marshy soil.

Should I try exporatory digs? Like a bunch of small mines to try and find stone, iron and such? Or is that a waste of time and my only hope is to buy it or bring it back from expeditions?

What to choose?

Hi

First of all, thank you for your time.

I am looking for a tool that could help me in my hobbies, they are: rock polishing/grinding, wood carving and metal working.

I am a begginer in all those hobbies. I am currently making magic wands for my niece, that mean that I am shaping and carving wood, then inserting shaped and polished stones into holes carved into the wands.

From time to time, I like to cut/shape/grind refurbished metals into tools or art. I recently cut a discarded sheet steel into various medalion/dogtag that I grinded then polished into shiny pieces.

Most of my project are small, they often require precision, but at the same time, I work with hard material (silex, steel, opal, etc) that need a lot of power.

I am hesitating between: A flex shaft grinder (like a foredom or more likely a Vevor), a bench grinder with a flex shaft attachement, a rotary tool like a dremel.

I must say that right now, I am partial to the bench grinder with a flex shaft, it seem inexpensive, versatile (grinding/cutting/polishing/shaping), and powerful enough to work with the hardest material.

I have a very, very, very old dremel, like one of the first models. I must say that it struggle to do anything, like it doesn't have any torque to it.

Do you have experience with these tools? What would you recommend?

My take on the Battle report

Hi

I want to voice my opinion on the battle report and see if I am alone on this.

First, the fact that each faction is truly unique is great, the art style is amazing and overall the game seem fine.

BUT, watching the videos made me wary since 2 very important thing where lacking:

  1. Where was the cover, where was the flanking, what was tactical at all in the gameplay?

The videos were pretty much ''who can blob up the fastest'' and ''my blob beat your blob''. The game heavily borrow from dawn of war 1, I get it, but there was a LOT of great thing about dawn of war 2. It was tactical, by that I mean that positioning your troop was essential, a bad unit matchup could be overcome with cover or a good tactic.

Even if it is primarily a units showcase, the map and the gameplay made me wary of the game.

Even DoW 1 had better cover, with its huge crater and bombed out field.

Some part of the maps where great chokepoint, both with the cover that was there and the fact that you could build defence everywhere.

  1. The auto-replenishment of unit seem to be a bad thing:

By that I mean that in the last video, once the admech got the majority of the map, the Necron had no counter, every loss the admech suffered was replaced because the player's pocket were now infinite.

I think they both said they use the auto-replenish function from the start......if it is used by default to avoid micro and give an advantage, maybe it need a tweak.

I get flashback to Dawn of war 1 where fight were almost endless once both player got to a certain point. It also remove a layer of tactic to the game. You just lost half your unit, just put it in the corner of the map, auto-replenish it for 4 minutes, all is good.

Now, holding chokepoint might not be as good as before, you wont be able to get those units that are retreating or in need of replenishment.

Dawn of war 2 wasn't perfect, but a middle ground between DoW 1 and 2 should be what is aimed for in my opinion.

Squad AI

Hello

Does the aim and reaction time of bots in a squad improve with the BR? My BR 1.0 squad can't hit shit, they often die without a single kill. Worse, I cannot rely on them to kill a single flanker/player.

But when I flank a rival squad, I often get dropped after 2 or 3 kills.

Since most of my squad are between BR1.0 and 2.0, I dont waste time putting point in their perk, is that the reason for the difference in performance?

TLDR: The AI of my squad suck but the enemy is decent.
