Hey all,
I’m painting an interior for a client.
Pre existing white walls, smooth finish.
He’s specced Aura Matte and we’re 3-4 coats in and still not fully covered.

Colors are CSP 690, CSP 720 and a bright yellow 2020-10.

Local paint stores are recommending tinting the primer to the finish color but that’s not getting us anywhere.
The primer seems as translucent as the topcoats.

I’m considering tinting the primer a medium gray like we used to do with reds in the pre Gennex days.

We experimented with Aqualock black as a primer and got good coverage but I can’t be sure the black isn’t casting through the topcoat and affecting the color.

Anyone been in this position and figured out a good solution?
