Muzzle options for older model scorp?

Ahoy! So to keep things simple: I have a circa 2016 Evo 3 S1 “world legal” model. Essentially the last ones before they started shipping with 1/2x28 threaded muzzles to the US. I had never gotten any kind of adapter because at the time I wasn’t sure I would ever have a can. Well..now I do lol. So I’m wondering if I got any options left for adapting 18x1 to 1/2x28?

Alternatively, does this look like enough “meat” to just have it rethreaded?

Were they really bringing up M42 back in 2003?

So I just started reading the Cain books (I’m relatively new to 40K and I decided to read Eisenhorn first lol) and in some of the editorial notes and annotations they mention/reference dates in M42. As I understand For The Emperor was first published in 2003, long before Era Indomitus was a thing…

So were they really mentioning M42 that early?
