Brass bits in receiver?

I just got a new gun and after the first outing I noticed that I have brass shavings in the receiver. I checked the brass and it looks good except for small scratches on the outside running the length of the case. Is this normal, or should I be concerned about the shavings leading to wea in the receiver?

Anyone ever found writing scratched into your receiver?

I found this on the inside of my trigger plate when replacing my trigger spring in my H009GCC. Has anyone ever seen this before and if so, what does it mean?

American Alligator in the rain [Nikon Z7 + Nikon 180-600mm f5.6-6.3]

One of my favorite recent photos from a trip to Wakulla Springs. I can’t tell if it looks over processed and I’m curious what your opinions are. I try to keep most of my photos leaning on the more natural color side when editing. Capture details: 600mm, f6.3, 1/1000sec. exposure, ISO 500

Good scope rings for Henry 30-30?

I want to put a scope on my H009 for hunting, but I don’t love the way that adding a rail looks and the aesthetic of having a direct mount I think would look better. Does anyone know of scope rings that you can put on the H009 that aren’t rail mounted? The scope I’m wanting to use is a Vortex Viper 3-15x44

Reloading cost for 30-30 Winchester

I was curious how much I could expect to pay per round when reloading 30-30. Not accounting for the equipment cost, how much can I expect to pay per round for components. I know brass is reusable up to a point so I was hoping you all had some real life data for me?
