Sherwood Trails, fiber internet?
We’re looking at Tachus for fiber internet but unsure if the neighborhood our new rental house is in can even get fiber. Any one know or have experience with fiber in the area?

We’re looking at renting a house that is justttt on the edge of the 100 yr flood plain but it’s in the 500 yr boundary. North Woodland Hills Village.
Anywho, is this a bad idea even if it’s just for one year? The house is elevated above the street I believe, but I’ve heard the streets can flood in heavy rain. Would like some insight! We’re waiting to hear back if the house has ever flooded or took on water from Harvey at all.
We’re moving to the area from out of state. We drove around Kingwood and like the area, but we went on a weekend and didn’t get to see what traffic might be like in the morning or evening to New Caney for work.
Google shows a path taking North Park to Hwy 59 (I-69? What is that road called?) or SH-494 Loop. Another path shows going north up W Lake Houston Pkwy to Ford Rd to get to 494.
Is traffic really awful in rush hours? Getting to work by 7 or 7:30 shows maybe a 17-20 minute commute. Leaving the office at 4pm shows an 18-20 minute commute.
An employee at the office said he drives past the road we would take to get to work and there’s tons of construction (not sure which road he’s talking about) and a 20 minute commute would easily turn into 45. How true is this?
For reference the office is just north of New Caney High School. We’re in Tampa so no stranger to a 30 minute commute turning into 50 minutes-1 hour. Just trying to gauge this before we settle into a rental next month.
My husband and I really want to upgrade to a Honda Pilot or Toyota Highlander because the rear seats have roof vents, but that won’t be for another year. We’re currently in a Nissan Rogue.
My 2 year old still rear faces and we’re about to have our second. I feel so awful because he’s always drenched in sweat in the summer (which is dang near all year where we live). Our stroller fan sucks, and so I’m looking at a battery operated fan from Lowe’s that I can clip back there. I’ve seen people suggest the noggle, other people say to just rig a DIY one up. What do yall do?
Edit: I should add that we live in the southern US. Florida now and will be moving to Texas where it’s not any better. Cars get EXTREMELY hot here. Pre cooling the car off is a great idea when I’m leaving from home, but coming back out to it after a grocery trip, internal car temperatures easily reach 170° and you can’t just stand in the brutal sun when it’s 95 but feels like 108 outside.
Thank you to everyone for the helpful suggestions so far!
I hope I selected the right flair. If you use the Erborian CC redness correct and it’s either a little too light for you, or it’s your winter shade? What are you using in the summer? I live in a very tropical climate so even with adequate SPF, I tan. Just curious if someone has something similar to the product, but darker. Thank you!!
Context: I’m 5.5 mo pregnant and tore my rotator cuff a few months ago, so my son has seen me go through all sorts of aches and pains recently. I’m not sure if he’s copying me, because I did do my best to explain “ow mommy has a headache” “ow mommy’s shoulder hurts” or “ow mommy’s back hurts” but it’s not crazy often anymore.
The past two weeks, my son has been CONSTANTLY complaining of aches. Ow!!! He says. My toes. My foot. My leg. And genuinely sometimes I see him stub his toe or fall down which immediately prompts his exclamation of ow. But often we’ll be mid conversation, everything seems fine then ow! My toes. Ow my feet. Where is this coming from?
A few weeks ago my husband and I both noticed his shins have been constantly covered in bruises. No where else, just his shins. Normal for a 2.5 yo boy? He’s not so rowdy like jumping off couches and tables, has needed a bandaid maybe twice in his life. Growing pains? Just a phase because he learned he could tell us when something hurts, even if it doesn’t actually?
My cousin was diagnosed with ALL at 3 and it started with bruises, I just need someone to tell me this is normal. He’s not overly sick, maybe once every 3 mo.
We are relocating for work from Florida and are looking at rental homes for a year before buying. Anyone in this group have a lease expiring around July-August?
All the homes online currently are move in before July so I’m just putting my feelers out. We visited Houston and drove around a ton of areas, Kingwood is our #1 pick.
