New 30th Anniversary Tools

Found a black 30th Anniversary multi-tool—and import records mention an impact wrench too 👀

I came across a resale listing on EBay for a Ryobi 30th Anniversary blackout multi-tool kit, and did a double take because I had never seen anything like it before 😳

The seller’s photos show anniversary packaging with a 2Ah battery and charger included. I haven’t seen this one announced anywhere, so I did some digging… It’s not on Home Depot’s website, or Ryobi’s, it wasn’t on Reddit, YouTube…anything!

However, thanks to ChatGPT I uncovered an August 28 import record specifically mentioning a “brushless multi-tool 30th anniversary kit,” model PBLMT51K1SB30QP (take model number with a grain of salt, nothing is confirmed yet). But it’s legit proof of a coming 30th anniversary blackout oscillating multi-tool!

Then, to my surprise, I found another shipment mentioning: “RYOBI 18V ONE+ HP COMPACT 4-MODE 1/2 IMPACT WRENCH, 30TH ANNIVERSARY, PSBIW25K1SB30 USA.”

That’s an impact wrench, not a ¼-inch impact driver. The multi-tool shipment lists 1,742 cartons, but it contains several different other products, so that doesn’t tell us how many multi-tools were imported or how limited they’ll be. The wrench had 2,268 cartons in a mixed shipment so same thing, it’s unknown the exact amountI actually asked a TTI rep about it at Home Depot yesterday and they seemed to think it would not be quite as limited as the drill, but again, pure speculation at this point. Time will tell.

My instinct is these could be part of a holiday/winter release.

No confirmation on pricing but if it’s like the blower it might be around $149.99, the wrench probably higher- $189.99+, but it’s anyone’s guess.

But yeah, thought it was interesting and wanted to share it!!!

Traffic in 2026

Is it just me but is traffic been getting steadily worse throughout the year? And it’s not even a rush hour anymore it’s all hours of the day, any direction, just an explosion of traffic.

I know Columbus has been growing but it feels like there’s been a serious jump in 2026, and not even just because of construction. Side note- sure would be cool if we had a passenger rail or metro system to get around the city but I digress.

Wondering what you guys think

Sure is a lot of dust on Makita boxes at Home Depot.

Just to report from the Midwest: Noticed a lot of Home Depot stores the Makita boxes all have a layer of built up dust. Tells me those products have just been sitting there for a while... One has to wonder how well Makita is doing in 2026, especially compared to say Milwaukee or Dewalt next door whose boxes looked fresh and pristine.

My own opinion on the matter is that as everyone’s wallet has tightened up post-tariffs, Makita’s MSRP prices have been a tough pill to swallow, especially outside of store clearance the promos have been relatively light.

Subcompact multitools and xlock grinders were just put on clearance around the corner for half off, I suspect this fall might have a lot more clearance deals to take advantage of.

Might have a problem

I set a $200 spending limit today. I hadn't really messed around with spending limits before, but I saw I had spent $900 in the last week, so I thought I'd try.

Tonight, when I hit the spending limit, and it locked my account, I spent a good 25 minutes researching any way to bypass it (you can't).

An hour later now, and wondering if this app is getting out of hand for me.

Has anyone else dealt with this? Feel like I justify my purchases because I plan on reselling a lot of it, but idk, part of me just wants to keep the stuff I get lol
