AM4 in 2026. Complete Build Showcase!

*R7 5700X3D + AMD Wraith Prism [modded to look like AMD Wraith Max]
*ROG STRIX B550i GAMING
*ROG STRIX 5070 Ti OC
*32gb CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX
*250gb WD BLUE SSD
*1tb. WD BLUE HDD
*1000w CORSAIR SF1000
*TEWARE FUSION SFF HYBRID [sama im01 variant]

I original started this around the end of 2025 and build it around feb this year. sharing short rundown. did some minor adjustments to my build. I can say it's finally complete but if you have improvements suggestions, I'd be happy to have a conversation in the comments!

CPU: l asked if I should aio liquid cool my 5700x3d and I don't think I need it for now. haven't experienced thermal throttles so far. been using this pc for 100+ days, temps are okay using the amd wraith prism cooler.

GPU: the gpu is a beast! I probably should upgrade to a native 1440p monitor with higher refresh rate to fully maximize it. don't mind the gpu sag! I couldn't find a bracket compact enough to fit the case.

RAM: dimms are only 2400mhz. too slow for today's standards but I really like the looks of Vengeange LPX so it stays. why did corsair stop making them? this is an upgrade I'd like to prioritize, hopefully there are good deals for a Vengeance LPX 3200mhz 2x16 or (2) 1x16 sticks.

STORAGE: still rocking old meta in 2026 lol. AM4, SSD and HDD combo. I am looking to upgrade to m.2 but I don't see a need for it at the moment. maybe if prices dip to reasonable levels? or that's just cope.

CASE: I rebuild the pc and I spent more time routing exposed cables making it more tidy. I tried to do better than the last attempt and I was lucky to get a tg panel for this case, nice little upgrade from just the metal mesh panel in the previous build. If you noticed, I don't have any case fans [yet] because I don't know if I need them. the panels are easily removable so I just take the panels off during sessions.

MOBO and PSU: I can't say much about these components rather than I've specifically picked them out lol.

Convince Me To Build AM5... Should I Bite the Bullet?

thank you for all your response in my prior post! really appreciate it conclusion to that post is - I've chosen rtx 5060 ti for gf, rtx 4060 for multimedia arts sibling and rx 7600 for vet-med sibling.

gf's pc will definitely be AM5 since she's paying for her pc parts lol. so this is mainly for siblings' pc's which I will pay out of pocket. am I being too much of a cheapskate for considering AM4 in 2026?

I need your guys' insights before I start buying other parts, I want them to be able to have the pc's asap. what really sets me back is the cost of ddr5 ram sticks and m.2 ssd's. ballpark of $350 for 16gb and $250 for 1tb is bananas!

can I pull off 2 builds for $1k - $1.5k? appreciate your continued help in advanced!

What Reasons Should I Consider a Team Red GPU over Team Green GPU?

I'm setting up 3 purpose build pc's. 2 of it will be for my siblings to take to college 1 is for gf. I'm in sort of a dilemma between choosing rx 9060 xt over rtx 5060ti for gf's pc and rx 7600 vs rtx 4060 for siblings' pcs. not my first build but these builds are sort of budget conscious, so, other than pricing I want to know what are other valid reason to choose an amd over nvidia.

AM5 900 Series Mobo Chipset - is it real?

am I tripping or is it real? I swear I've just read an article a couple of days ago with a title "AMD Announces 900 Series Motherboard for AM5" not verbatim but something along those lines. I paid the price for holding too long now that almost all PC components are racking up price. If I'm tripping, I best hold on to my current AM4ever build until it becomes obsolete.

First Time Engine Swap

hope this is the right sub to ask

Disclaimer: I well aware there will be people with snide remarks about this platform being desperate to become an evo. I'm not doing an evo conversion. simply swapping my engine for a better one.

There is a Lancer 7th gen (known as Lancer Cedia GT 2.0 in some regions) that houses an NA DOHC 4G63. I drive a Lancer 7th gen with the 4G18 engine, and GT 2.0 appear to share the same CS3 chassis code so I'd like to know what process will be involved if: I swap to the GT NA 4G63+GT trans or 4G63T+GT trans will it be an 'out with the old, in with the new' Chris Fix scenario, especially.

First Time Engine Swap

hope this is the right sub to ask

Since meron cedia gt2.0, straightforward "out with the old, in with the new" lang ba ang 4g18 swap to 4g63?

I'm not doing an assemvolution or convert to evo build. simply swapping the engine for a better one. Daily car lang talaga namin to at hindi intended maging project car, pero ganun na nga yung nangyayari.

Edit: moved context to comments

Looking for advice on how to improve the cable management

I've done a couple of builds in the past but none of those prepared me for sff, but! it's done for now, and remembering this chassis is also compatible with matx board and standard atx psu is wild. I gave it my all to neatly route all the cables and this is as compact as it gets for my components.

I won't be able to build those lunch box size builds you guys commonly post here but that's mainly my fault for choosing a not-so-sff gpu, unless...
