one leg paralysis and limb gone dark

18F, My left leg is paralysed from the knee down, basically unless i look at my leg i believe it ends at the thigh, this was after i was hit at 100 as a pedestrian and the knee took all impact 2 years ago, over the weekend my limb decided to go dark and cold, so i presented to emergency on Monday night where they made me wait 8 hours then sent me home because they "didnt want to do anything", I dont know if paralysis and dark cold limb is serious, i think it is, i believe the hospital shouldve acted better especially as i cannot walk at all, im on crutches, non-weight bearing, dragging my leg i cannot feel, the rest of my body is in so much pain from overcompensation, but im not a doctor, my doctor ruled out vascular as my leg would be pink and warm instead, advice anyone on what i should do, should i present myself again, what should i do with my leg so i can walk again because nothing is working, advice on anything tbh, i know this is a spinal injury sub but i think this is the one where most people will know about whats going on hopefully

getting more annoyed at the system

I have been treated really bad ever since my accident 2yrs ago by doctors, surgeons, everyone, im not going into detail but now its too far gone because of that, unfixable injuries, its cost me my brain function and left leg, and it makes me angry, real angry, before any medical appointment i am up half the night replaying bad medical situations in my head, getting angrier and angrier, like i expect it to happen again because its happened so many times, I could sue the entire medical system but i wont because itll be too stressful for me, but thats how bad it is

they failed me and now i gotta pay forever

in 2024 i was hit by a car at between 90 and 100 (i wont go into full details)

they took me to the local hospital, but they never did scans on my body, Me or family had to request the scans, then after the scans it was found they were scanning the wrong part of my leg for hours on end, my lower leg looked wrong, but the xrays were of my upper leg.

i broke my lower left leg/knee yet after that they stopped scans, then forgot to operate on it, then it was a 4mths non weight bearing injury but they had me walking at 6 weeks, it healed wrong with irreversible nerve death in my leg and undiscovered ligament tears and cartilage tears in my knee that would later be discovered and forgot about or treated like they are the worst thing and not the nerve stuff which is far, far worse because my left leg has zero function, it simply does not work,

they discharged me from rehab after 1 session because i was not in pain, even though my leg was a mess structurally. This wasnt just once, every time i tried to do physio it was always "if your not in pain, you dont need it"

I also sustained a TBI that took 18 months, symptoms that never disappeared, the onset of bipolar disorder and 8 MRIs to warrant a neuro assessment and discover it, but after that, they never gave me any help or supports for it

I kept going to orthos for my knee yet they would just say come back in 12mths or put steroids into me when it clearly states that I cannot have them, I ended up in a psych unit for 4 weeks because steroids cause mania

or they would write down im in pain on referrals when i was in no pain, yet never check the function of my leg and claim they know best about whats going on when they havent even seen the function of my leg or lived with it for two years.

then again, send me off for a year like they want to get rid of me, it kind of feels that way.

I feel the system doesnt want to know about serious car crash victims as multiple people i know have had similar experiences, its like they ignore us until its unfixable or unbearably bad then they are in too deep so they still dont want to know about it

and the the media and everything only care about the people who die, not the people stuck for the rest of their llives paying the price because someone decided to drive like an idiot and break road rules

anyone else fall through the cracks

hi, i was just wondering if anyone else has had the experience where they initially get treated for their serious injuries, but then they fall through the medical system cracks, and end up years down the line even worse off

or is it just me

my doctor still thinks the acl is the worst part

i have nerve and muscle death leading to zero function in my left leg, but my surgeon and everyone else thinks me having a torn acl, which isnt even CONTRIBUTING to the knee problems, its just a side piece and is literally a minor injury compared to the first two things i listed, is the worst part along with the fact they keep treating it like a basic sports injury when its a multi layer serious car crash one thats ruined my life for two years already

Along with the fact i get turned away for not being in pain yet my leg literally DOES NOT WORK
