Any fellow Helldivers?

I’m not selling nor providing a purchase link.

Just got this custom made lighter from a local shop in my country.

Domestic travel insurance for inbound tourists

Is there a travel insurance you would recommend for my elderly parents who are over 80 years old? We plan to stay for just under a month. We have purchased coverage from our home country but requires us to pay upfront, then we are reimbursed later.

I’ve heard of countries where at the airport there’s an insurance company desk where inbound tourists can purchase insurance on the day of arrival. We are arriving in BKK.

Free sim from Sawasdee by AOT app

Has anyone taken up the offer on a free sim from the Sawasdee by AOT app? If so, how was it? How many days? Not much info about it on the app.

IMAX cinema question/siggestion

I’ve RTFF and last post was about 10months ago. I’m coming to visit Bangkok for 1 month.

Which IMAX cinema is best for overall experience? I’m not an elitist on cinemas. I definitely want to watch The Odyssey on IMAX and maybe Spider-Man.

For the first half of my visit I’ll be in Chidlom. The 2nd half of my visit I’ll be nearby IconSiam. I read there was a smudge on the screen at IconSiam. Is this still there?

Lastly, how long does the movie typically stay on IMAX screens after initial release day? I prefer going to a semi empty cinema as I’m not fond of sitting next to others.

Specific blood testing

I’ve read past posts and couldn’t find posts specific to my situation or the posts were too old.

Can people recommend any hospitals or labs for blood tests with reasonable prices? We are staying in Chidlom.

My elderly parents and I are coming from Taiwan and like to get some blood tests done. Taiwan has a pretty solid medical system but it still has predatory practices where doctors often suggest surgeries.

For my elderly dad I’d like to get him to do a blood test for cancer and other illnesses to confirm/compare the results against what he is getting back in Taiwan.

I saw AHSCU is a possible place to get tested and the prices are reasonable. Do they offer a consultation after the blood tests done? Or do I take the results and go to a specialist?

T.I.T.T - This is Taiwan’s Traffic

For all the discussions about whether China invades Taiwan or not yet, they’re gonna get stuck at the mountain passes. I took the above video while on the way south to Hualien, just before Nan’ao. Road crews were clearing trees and made the road a one way. The north bound traffic was backed up 1-2kms.

Bespoke suit tailor advice

Hi all,

I get sweaty easily so I’ve decided to get linen or cotton (maybe even tropical wool if available) suit made. I’ll be in Thailand for a month. First 8 days in BKK, then 10 days in Hua Hin and then final 11 days in BKK. So plenty of time to get multiple fittings. I’ve read the past posts but they are a year or so older.

Any referrals for tailors? Also recommendations for materials and suit construction tips from other sweaty people?

For reference - when I lived on the outskirts of BKK decades ago, I got some suits made at Savile Row in Bangkok. They used to be in a hotel but they moved. I know where they are now. I got some great suits made but as it’s been decades, I’ve put on some weight and need new ones.
