Bear Tour no-show excuse
Just on my last evening in Whistler. I had booked a bear Tour evening excursion for pick up outside where we are staying.
It didn't turn up, but that said it was chaotic. No one seemed to be checking names and bunches of old folks just seemed to be welcomed into 4x4s and off they went. I tried to ask about the tour I booked any people just looked at me confused.
Anyway, I wait the amount of time the booking said in case of delays. I call, and they said it may be due to an earlier flat.
Here's the question...
He said one of the afternoon tours didn't come in and they didn't know why for a bit and so it wasn't able to come in between tours. In fact they didn't know where it was or what had happened.
If it is a bear Tour, how could you know have comms with a vehicle? They could have been involved in something more serious and no help was being provided. Is this even possible given what at usual protocols elsewhere for these things?
Also, is it more likely that the tour guide didn't know or care who they were picking up and just took the bunch of oldies who will prob tip better as they have ££ and they don't care or have a list of who they should pick up?
Little bit angry but also just inquisitive. Given my families luck today (sea plane door opened mid flight!) it may have been better to miss this excursion!
