Should I apply for a English teaching job in Korea or stay in the US

I'm a 40M living in the USA. My career is in the entertainment field and the work is slow with jobs going overseas or not in my area.

The difference in pay from my current career (when I actual work) to an English teaching job is $6,200/month

That said all the money I make in America goes to my bank and my yearly months long vacations to Asia.

The questions I have are:

  1. How consistent is the work? I don't really care about the money as long as the job is consistent and can be looked at as a career.

  2. How's the provided housing? This is the reason why I'd choose Korea over Japan honestly is because it looks like they all provide housing but what is the quality of said house.

Applied 08/14/26. WI. Hiring Event?

I'm looking for a career change and the night shift at $30/hr is the closest to what I have been making but my question is this.

Even though I applied today they are having an hiring event on 08/25 so do I go to the hiring event if I don't hear back from my application?

Also, does the paid time off rollover? I like to take 3 week vacations

2022 Prius Leak?

Hi All,

Lately my 2022 Prius has been making a noise sounding like water swishing around the front passenger door and today I noticed a small wet spot on top of my rubber floor mat and when I picked up the floor mat the carpet was soaked.

Has this happened to anybody else?
What do you think this is?

I have 49k miles. Hopefully this thing is under warranty. I’m going to call tomorrow.

What credit card would you use for a large purchase?

I'll be making a $24,000 purchase soon and I want to get people's opinions on what credit card I should open to make this purchase.

The goal here is to get the most rewards possible for this large purchase. I travel once a year.

I don't have any allegiance to hotels or airlines. I currently have 35,000 Aeroplan points

Grilled Mochi

Hey all, where can I find grilled mochi in tokyo? I like plain grilled mochi that I can dip in soy sauce. I've only been able to find one place that offers this but it's in Osaka.

Korean Airlines Cabin Comfortability

I'm flying Korean Air Prestige Class soon and was curious about recent experiences with cabin temperature.

If you've flown Korean Air within the last 6 months or so, how warm or cold was the cabin during your flight? I've seen mixed comments online and tend to do much better in cooler temperatures on long haul flights.

One reason I'm asking is that I get pretty anxious in enclosed spaces when they feel too warm. A cool cabin helps me stay comfortable, relax, and sleep during the flight, so cabin temperature is something I pay close attention to.

Also, does Korean Air allow passengers to request that the cabin temperature be lowered, or is that generally not something the crew will accommodate?

I'd especially love to hear from anyone who has recently flown in Prestige Class on long haul routes. Thanks!

Walking from HNL at night, safe?

Hi everyone. I’ll be 'visiting' Hawaii for the first time later this year and have a one night layover in Honolulu. My flight arrives at 9:30 PM and my hotel is about a 15 minute walk from HNL. I’d rather not spend money on transit if I can avoid it, so I was wondering if the area around the airport is generally safe to walk at night. Thanks!
