~5TB of storage - recommend disks?
I'm going with a RAIDZ2, and I need about ~5TB of storage, so I'm thinking 4TB drives. Are WD Reds still the go-to for this? Can anyone recommend something both good and cheap?

I plan on building a new NAS and installing to a USB thumbdrive. I'm thinking UFS because a) I never take snapshots, b) my data will be on a RAIDZ2 HD array, and c) almost all the configs on the machine in /usr/local/etc will be kept elsewhere.
Any other tricks to deal with potential USB drive wear?
I'm getting a fault on GP#1 which AFAIK is the one by the timing belt. When I measure resistance of all the GPs, still in the block, I'm putting the red probe of the meter on the GP and the black on the battery negative. My meter isn't the best, touching the probes I get .7 Ohms. For GP 1,2,3 I get .7 Ohms, so possibly zero or close - while on GP4, I get 1.6 Ohms (possibly .9 Ohms).
Questions:
is GP #1 the one on the passenger side?
is a GP resistance of close to zero Ohms correct? if so this tells me that GP #4 is effed up somehow.
I have a hopped-up G60 that I want to get back on the road for summer. It has a couple of problems, first a parasitic power drain that I can't find, and second - PO installed some sort of alarm/kill switch thing. There's a plastic box with wires all over the place velcro'd under the steering wheel, and a little toggle switch that you have to flip. I'm not even sure it works right, sometimes you flip the switch and turn the key and it starts, other times it wont even turn over.
Did G60s come with any kind of factory alarm/immobilizer, or is this 100% a bodge? I can trace wires and probably remove it, but I want to make sure I'm not going to run into something else in the ECU when I do that.
Anyone know the resistance / power of a working dimmer switch? I never dim my lights and the switch has gotten super flaky. I'm thinking of just wiring in a resistor.
Just picked up a replacement Sawyer squeeze. While it still comes with other stuff I don't need, they:
got rid of the bags and give you a 2L CNOC
got rid of the hoses
included the blue coupler
Finally, they're getting it.
