18m AAV is a lot against the cap. I’m good with it. Is it 2026JUL10 yet?

Still waiting on shipment and transfer but wanted to share my excitement. More interested in a SMLE representative that I could afforbably possess, admire and occasionally put some PPU .303 British downrange.
Did the research first. Seller Reports good bore. Looks like a Century Arms Import (ST. ALB VT marking). The bolt serial is mis-matched from the rest of the serial numbers and my understanding is that improper fitting can lead to headspace issues so I will have that gaged before I shoot it. Presumably this was an arsenal re-fit but I'll gather data to be certain. I'm taking a gamble on that hoping that if it's not properly headspaced, a gunsmith can fix that.
Photos in the listing show that all the other serial numbers match. I feel good knowing the Nose Cap's serial markings match the barrel, stock and reciever.
Now I am learning about the engineering behind the rifle. I will pickup Skennerton's and Laidler's books. I'm slightly flummoxed by things like the King Screw and the fittings that are meant to control the barrel harmonics.
What should I be nerding out on while I wait?
Sent half the range pack of Stelth downrange already.
Running the Air Compressor to blow unburnted powder/filler/whatever out of the the reciever is tedious. I don't have a garage or shop, so this means pulling a Hobo Frieght special out of the coat closet; waiting for it build up pressure and blowing the upper and lower out in broad daylight so the neighbors can see.
StelTH is the benchmark but has become unobtanium since Ammo Inc.'s ammunition business was acquired. Whether that load ever returns under Winchester branding remains to be seen, so I'm looking for a clean-burning substitute that's actually available.
The Sako I got from the local Cabella's. The SIG and Fiocchi were Ammo Seek finds. Hoping the Sako is the one so I don't have to pay shipping.
I keep Hornady Sub-X in some Lancers for home defense. If I have to shoot an intruder; I doubt that minor annoyances in cleaning my rifle will be the first thing on my mind.
Spokane-area bassist and guitarist looking for a groove-oriented collaborator.
We're interested in evolving grooves, textures, soundscapes, and musical conversation rather than traditional verse/chorus rock songs.
Trip hop, IDM, downtempo, jazz, ambient, post-rock, cinematic, and electronic influences are all welcome.
Traditional drums, electronic drums, hybrid kits, samplers, drum machines, Ableton rigs, SPD-SX setups, sequencers, and percussion are all fair game.
Looking for someone who:
Less interested in reproducing rock song structures. More interested in creating something together and seeing where it goes.
Current lineup is bass and guitar.
If this sounds like your kind of weird, send a message.
Check engine light came on. Ran a diagnostic and the code thrown was P0193. Cleared codes and idled for 10 minutes. MIL did not return. Checked FRP and Fuel Trims and there was nothing immediatly alarming.
Will be monitoring during commutes for sure but wondering if this was just a one time glitch? The FRP Sensor seems pretty straightforward to replace if this becomes recurring.
Twice this week I’ve seen Spokane PD running speed enforcement from the Broadway bridge over the Maple Street Bridge, looking southbound. Motorcycle officers appeared to be using lidar/radar and then pulling out after vehicles. Speed limit through there is 40, but traffic usually flows faster.
There was also a pretty severe accident on Sunday (2026/05/17) on the north segment of the Maple Street Bridge.
Just a PSA.
I wanted a monster jammy wall paper to celebrate the mundaneness of 2nd Gen Ford Escapes so I loaded a photo of mine to ChatGPT and gave it some instructions.
