Marathon won't make it in its current state

Might be a bit harsh but I came back for the season 2 start and all and... yeah this is rough.

I really want Marathon to succeed but where is the optimisation update they promised us weeks after the release.

If Bungie wants more player they have to optimize their game.

It is just absurdly abnormal to have so much input latency and performances that bad for a shooter.

It affects the immersion into the game so bad that it gets boring.

Also is that really season 2 and not a refinement of season 1?

Like it just feels so empty. Night maps are fun but for 2-3 games and you have to do all the missions over again like hurghhh.

Also I heard Bungie was focusing into making a PVE mode, I just hope it's not escort missions where there is no narration or proper story because that would really sign the end of the game imo.

Sorry for all that negativity but I'm just deeply disappointed in what I just witnessed from season 2 so far.

I just realized how good MoE models are for consumer hardware

I've been tinkering around with LLM for a while now, started with LM Studio like probably all of us and wanted to go into headless selhosted model so that I can use my macbook and still use my AI models.

I've been using Qwen 3.6 (and 3.5) 27B on my main computer which has a Ryzen 7 3800X, a 7900XT, 32Gb of RAM and that thing was pretty sloooooow even with MTP enabled.

You can probably call this a skill issue as I'm not familiar with llama.cpp forest of arguments yet despite reading the documentation when I'm confused about something.

And this morning I just had the urge of breaking everything I've done so far, tried a new gguf that isn't from unsloath, got the 35BA3B and moved all the expert part of the model to the "cpu" (even if it is actually moved to RAM but whatever) and I'm actually sad that my GPU VRAM is so empty now BUT that thing is ripping fast.

The difference between 27B and 35BA3B is kind of mind blowing and I think it might be even more efficient on the productivity side to have that much of a speed gain.

Before I had to take a coffee between what was done by 27B, now it is just a short pause and iteration with 35BA3B, so even if there was ton of hype (justified for sure) for 27B, give a shot to the 35BA3B especially if you are VRAM limited and have a decent amount of RAM.

Give me some tips on what I could try to optimise my models 27B and 35BA3B too as I'm also a beginner and that area and just want to learn more on this.

Fixed port forwarding

I think I'm not the only one with that in mind as I already some posts from 4 years ago.

I don't really mind not having port forwarding at all, but having it, and having to set it up back everytime I connect to your VPN servers is such a pain in the butt.

Please let us have static port forwarding, this is just annoying for your users in general and should be an available option in the settings.

Super Mario Wonder crashes Eden on launch

I use Eden with v22 prod keys and firmware and Super Mario Bros Wonder crashes Eden after loading the game.

Does anyone know how could that happen? And how to fix it?

I currently have a 3800X paired with a 7900XT, the build is decent and doing pretty good but I'm pretty CPU limited in high end games like cyberpunk or if I want to play shooters above 240fps. Is the 5700x3d or 5800X3d worth the upgrade or should I just do a a new CPU build from scratch with DDR5 (or DDR6 if the price never come down)?

I know it's a bit of weird start but bear with me. I'm currently playing a lot with AI models and on selfhosting them. My goal is just to pass the 40Gb of VRAM to be able to run proper midrange models like Qwen 3.6 27B with a decent token generation on large context without having to offload it to RAM.
