How would you handle window treatments for this wall?

(Unhung family photo blocked out). I HATE these blinds, so I’d like to cover them up. But I’m not sure how I could do curtains here because it’s the whole wall. I rent, so, while my landlord probably wouldn’t oppose me swapping them out for a more high end shade/blind option, I’d rather not spend the money.

Interval shorts dupe

I usually wear the interval 7inch shorts for workouts, but given athleta no longer gives two f*cks about inclusivity, those have pretty much been out of stock in 1x for months. Any good replacements. I want something with slick fabric, solid compression, and that won’t roll at my waist every time I bend over.

Where are the best furniture stores in the area?

I was thinking about going to the crate and barrel on clybourne, but I’m wondering if it’s small and I’ll feel like I need to go to another location. Is that one any good, or are there larger ones (and similar stores - pottery barn, west elm, etc.) worth driving a bit for?

Penny Linn Christmas Kippah

Maybe the designer grew up in a mixed religion household, but this just makes me uncomfortable. It would be, frankly, wildly inappropriate the wear something like this into a Jewish service and there’s already enough Christmas stuff in needlepoint and not enough Jewish stuff. We don’t need designers Christmas-ifying the few Jewish designs there are.

Edit: Jesus Christ people, I had no idea this came from a tv show with respect to mixed religion people. Everyone telling me I’m telling mixed religion people how to be mixed, I have said multiple times, including in the first sentence here, that when people are mixed religion this is different. It is still wildly inappropriate for anyone who is not mixed religion to stitch this. Also to everyone telling me I’m acting like I alone police this. Reddit is a place where people share and debate opinions. I shared mine. Feel free to share yours, but maybe without all the hostility. Nowhere was I hostile to anyone in the first instance here, I have no idea why “this seems fucked up” got the responses it did other than simply informing me “hey btw this is a tv show and I disagree with you.”

Best Caribbean hotel

I’m thinking about taking a big trip to a fancy Caribbean hotel. The only things I care about are: swimmable beach (I’ve been to playa del Carmen and all that seaweed ruins it), a nice room, and good food on site. I won’t leave the hotel for food most likely, so, so long as it’s safe, I don’t care what’s happening outside. I don’t want to spend money just to be in a nicer location in terms of outside the hotel, but I want to spend on the hotel/beach.

Whole Foods needs to limit pints per person!

This sale has become too popular. I’ve got 4 times in the past week around 12 each day and it’s been wiped out. And then I see people online who bought 10 pints. It’s ridiculous. They should be setting a limit so that people who work in the mornings can participate too. And people, consider not taking half the store when you stop - you’re not the only customer.

What would you do? Finishing mess!

So 8.5 months ago I sent off finishing with fabric. It was supposed to have an 8 month turnaround. In heard nothing for 7.5 months (no big deal, wasn’t expecting to) and then about a month ago I emailed to provide a new mailing address for the finished product. Shop owner responded and said great and that she’d provide an update soon. 3 weeks later on a Tuesday she tells me she’s still waiting to hear from the finisher, hoping by end of the week. I don’t hear anything at the end of the week, so I send an email the next week. Silence. Finally, a few days ago (a month and change after initially promising an update and 2 weeks after “the end of the week”) she informs me she finally heard from the finisher’s family, that the finisher had a major medical issue 4 months ago and had not finished much of her finishing, including mine. The store has my canvas and is sending it back to me, but not the fabric. I’m at a loss. I’m furious given it’s been almost a year and that the finisher had no plan for the handling of her business such that it took four months for someone to tell the store. And I’m furious with the store for not having more regular contact with the finisher (she said they’d been trying to contact her for a while, but this doesn’t happen if you have an actual system). On one hand, it’s hard to take the anger out on anyone. On the other hand, I paid for shipping and they did not get my fabric back from the finisher in all the chaos. I believe the appropriate solution is to reimburse me for shipping and the fabric and have it finished with rush service paid by the store. But they didn’t even offer to send it to another finisher at all - just to mail it back.

Store for dried pasta

Can anyone suggest where I might shop for a wide variety of shapes. Specifically, I’m looking for malfadine. Eataly only has it fresh, and I’ve never seen it elsewhere.
