Looking for some advice on upgrading my 5+ year old Lenovo IdeaPad C340-14IWL (Intel 8th Gen).

It's become painfully slow over the last year or so, and the battery is now on its last legs (which isn't too surprising after 5+ years). I hardly use it these days, but my wife has started using it for job hunting and keeps reminding me how slow it is. 😊

I'm thinking of opening it up and upgrading it myself to give it a bit more life, but I'd appreciate some advice on what I actually need to buy and where to buy it.

Based on my research ( ChatGPT), this is what I'm considering:

• RAM: Adding an 8GB DDR4 SODIMM (2666MHz?) to bring it up to 12GB total. Is that the correct specification?
• Storage: Replace the existing drive with a 500GB or 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD. Any recommendations for reliable, budget-friendly models?
• Battery: Need a replacement battery.

Does this sound like the right upgrade path, or have I missed anything? Also, where would you recommend buying the parts (I'm in Australia)?
