I just ordered my first pair of Altra's. I chose the Escalante 4.

Are there any barefoot/neutral shoe users here? The AI recommended Altra's and they look really good.

I used to ran marathon before I started walking barefoot and using vivobarefoot and wildling shoes.

I got a pair of vivo running shoes but for longer runs they are a little too "neutral".

So the Escalante looked like the perfect match for me.

Whats your experience?

Vorweg: ich beziehe mich nicht auf medizinisch notwendige OPs wie bei Nikki Lauda oder bei großer Oberweite, die Rückenschmerzen verursacht. Es gibt auch psychologisch notwendige OPs, die ich damit nicht thematisiere!

Ich möchte mich hier auf vermeintliche 'Optimierungen' beziehen.

Ich finde den Trend der Social Media Werbung extrem. Bei regelmäßigen Konsum wird suggeriert, dass beinahe jede*r sich unters Messer legen oder etwas spritzen lassen sollte.

Das geht soweit, dass bspw. im Reality TV fast alle gleich aussehen. Gleiche Lippe, gleiche Nase, usw. Ich persönlich finde das optisch furchtbar, aber Optik ist Geschmackssache.

Was mich viel mehr stört ist, dass die Verunsicherung von jungen Menschen immer mehr zunimmt. Das war auch früher schon so, aber mittlerweile hat es eben finanzielle und körperliche Konsequenzen, wenn dieser Schritt gegangen wird. Dann werden vielleicht auch schlechte OPs im Ausland gewählt.

Wenn man dann Beispiele wie Carmen Geiss sieht, in welche Richtung das gehen kann.

Ich finde es teilweise erschreckend.

Sorge habe ich insbesondere als Vater zweiter Mädchen.

Alle Menschen sind hübsch und OPs braucht wahrscheinlich nur der allerkleinste Teil.

I am on my 2nd run. First was 2H Templar, now full mage, Circle 6. I am currently in the 2nd Sleeper Temple run.

So I read about mages complaining a lot. In my opinion the only hard moments where the first days in chapter 3 and clearing fog tower. Anything else feels really good to play, I would even say easy.

I play gothic difficulty, I like to enjoy my rare time as a Dad😄

But with kill undead and now uriziel rune the temple runs and the old camp kill are really easy, which where more difficult as a fighter imo.

When I used the uriziel rune for the first time in old camp yesterday I had to laugh hard. Just walk and kill everything lol😄

ich wollte gern ein paar Inspirationen.

Vorweg: ich bin recht kritisch was neue Bücher angeht. Ich lese seit ich denken kann fast ausschließlich Fantasy. Mein Einstieg war Markus Heitz mit den Zwergen/Albae. Ritus und Sanktum mochte ich von ihm auch, sowie die Meisterin. Meine letzten Bücher waren zudem Lied von Eis und Feuer, Der Hexer und die Königsmörder Reihe von Rothfuss. All diese Bücher fand ich richtig gut und bin nach deren Abschluss in eine "Post-Despression" verfallen.

Ich hatte jetzt den Drachenbeinthron angefangen, allerdings hat der mich überhaupt nicht gecatcht🙈

Nun fällt es mir schwer, eine neue Reihe zu beginnen. Habt ihr einen Tipp?

Hi! I played my first run as a 2h templar. 2nd run as a mage. I read often about the weakness of magic and was surprised how easy the first 2 chapters where with the first fire rune.

Now I tried the tower next to the meeting of Diego, Gorn, Milton and Lester and my fire rune did 0 dmg to the skeletons. As a templar I had no problems clearing the skeletons. Any help and tricks for me? Or should I come back with new runes later?

Yesterday I thought about how the nameless hero learns languages, weapons, alchemy, blacksmithing, lockpicking, and so on in like 30 days and gets the most overpowered weapon and armor, lost artefacts as a complete newbie in the colony.

Meanwhile I struggle with losing a few pounds for summer body 🤣

He is like "companies get mad if you use this trick, get rich in 30 days. Forget about working, ETFs,...". 🤣
