There's a BIG 2 in WSL spend and revenue

Interesting. Arsenal and Chelsea's income are broadly the same, but Chelsea have made a 15 million pound loss since 2021. Arsenal have not.

Man Utd ad Man City have the 2nd biggest revenue but a big gap above and below them.

Brighton after Chelsea have the 2nd biggest loss since 2021. London City Lionesses £10.6m in losses was more than 10 times their revenue of £902,000.

Chelsea, City and Liverpool have the 3 largest spends on agents fees. Chelsea more than twice anyone else with a million pounts spent on them last season.

Hey. DHGate has many sellers of football(Soccer) jerseys. Which ones are reliable?

Thanks, as a novice I'm considering a few fake jerseys, already have spend £350 of real ones this summer, so I wanted to save some on the lesser jerseys so to speak of the ones I'm interested in. So can anyone give me the sellers who are known as most reliable in quality and truthworty please? From DHGate or elsewhere. Cheers for the help.

Géraldine Reuteler: “It’s a privilege to play here”

Just caught this interview. It's really interesting at how she speaks about the differences between Arsenal and her old clubs.

In short she says how there's so much more staff for each job at Arsenal, better facilities, playing at the emirates was a big pull factor for her to come and how it was the pre-seaosn game last year which made her really want to come to Arsenal.

Any updates on Season Ticket sales?

I see they have taken them off for sale now. I was curious as to how they compare to previous seasons. There were 17k last year. Hopefully they equal or exceed that.

Arsenal's 3rd kit for 26/27 is now released

Another banger that looks better than the initial leaks.

Need that "Take my money" gif from Futurama to run every time I visit the Arsenal website or shop. The merch really is out of control good these past few years.

Michelle Kang getting sued for 'hostile takeover of Lyon'

£300 million lawsuit from John Textor.

Textor claims that while Kang was encouraging him to step down, she had entered into a “secret side agreement” with Ares Capital Corporation and a group known as Series C Investors, which established a five-person “shadow executive committee” that bypassed the official board of directors. He alleges this board met 30 times in five months to make key financial and operational decisions without his knowledge and he learnt of its existence months later via an internal whistleblower.

He also alleges that Kang pulled a financial manoeuvre before a crucial meeting with DNCG, promising a “friendly” €30m (£26m) equity injection but replacing it with an aggressive loan featuring a 20-30 per cent interest rate as well as €600,000 in up-front fees, which added significant financial strain to EFH. Textor claims Kang used the predatory loan terms to engineer insolvency, which forced EFH into administration in March 2026.

He argues this meant Kang could buy Lyon outright at a significant discount. Kang completed her takeover of Lyon in June.

The lawsuit also states that Kang cancelled more than $230m in inter-company debts owed by Lyon to Textor’s other clubs and that she defaulted on payments which led to direct legal action against him. In total, the legal complaint features seven counts:

Defamation

Fraud in the inducement

Fraudulent concealment

Tortious interference

Constructive fraud

Civil conspiracy

Unjust enrichment

The counter-claim:

Textor has also filed a criminal complaint against Kang in France. He has accused her of four offences under French corporate and financial law, including:

Private corruption

Abuse of corporate power

Presentation of inaccurate accounts

Dissemination of false or misleading information

Anyone know why there aren't any pre-season fixtures confirmed?

Seems so late. I was pondering if I could see the dates and check if I could get a sneeky cheap deal flight and a weekend away. But nothing.

Loads of Spanish sides have a whole pre-season calendar ready. English teams and Arsenal here, seem so bad at it. I recall sweet F.A. last summer too.

How Arsenal will use our new new signings

How Arsenal will use our new new signings video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqSwYsBGsSU

TWFC do a, mostly, good analysis on the new signings.

Good stuff:

Really good analysis on what Selina Cerci brings.

Some nice analysis on Reuteler's play

Not much on Stanway,

The bad:

The Frida Maanum errasure.

I think it's more like when we played with Smith and Kelly that Kelly will start on the left and Smith on the right. That was the more common line-up position.

Chloe Kelly and Leah Williamson have had injury problems, but previosuly whent hey have a bad season they come back for a full seaosn with no problems.

I also pushback on their idea that Arsenal have the biggest wage in the WSL due to this seasons transfer. they are determined to push this narrative in a few videos and comments. I disagree.

Looking at it, according to Deoitte's financial analysis Chelsea had a wage gap of 3.2 million more in 24/25. I suspect that increased by 25/26. My reasoning is when we brought in Smith & Borbe who, and lost a Walti, Ilestedt, Hurtig, Wienroither who were on good to high wages. One in good wages in and a reserve keeper wages vs 4 well paid outgoings. So that gap grew on that basis alone. Chelsea brought in Peng, Thompson and Carpenter, all should be on big money. In their exits only Ingle would be realistically have been on big money. Gap grown again.

Then this summer we lost Mead, McCabe, Zinsburger, Pelova and Codina. Codina didn't work but she'd have been on good wages. Mead and McCabe on massive wages as the face of the club who had multiple upgraded contracts over the years. We gained, Batlle who'll be on massive wages, say that matches McCabes, Stanway also, who replaces Meads. Reuteler and Cerci will be on decent but not top dollar and Baum is still a youth prospect who won't be on huge wages. It roughly matches our outgoings. Maybe a bit less or a bit more. Wages roughly the same as before but could be a bit more.

Now chelsea offloaded JRK, Reiten, Bright, Kerr, Macario and Charles. That's a big wage offload. To put in in context 3.2 million is 6 or 7 Sam Kerr wages. We could say Bright was not far off Kerrs wages and the rest a level below. Just the loss of those is about 60% of the 6 or 7 Kerr's wages. So it doesn't close the 3.2 million gap. We know McCabe will be huge wages, more than Charles wo'll be in thre decent range, and Matsukubo will be on big wages which stretch's Chelsea's bill out further. So while they, so far, have lost a big numebr of wages this year, they certainly went up last summer and they didn't lose 3.2 million in their player exits. Arsenal will most likely be on par with previous, probably a bit higher, but not much.

Dark lighting, moody, pretentious gimmick...why are all the announcement videos all following this Pattern

Not literally all. But all the Arsenal ones, LCL with Leon, Liverpool with Keating etc. It seems to be some fashion/copying of style. It's like they all hired the same PR firm and creative director. I don't recall them like this for the past few years.

Anyone got an ideas for why this is?

More found on Arsenal Ladies history.

Adam Salter really is doing the Lord's work here. If you didn't know he's been documenting all the scores and goal scorers from the missing parts of Arsenal Women (Ladies) history. He's now down to just 14 games, listed in this post, were he has the score but not the goal scorers from the 91 season onwards.

Obviously please read his tweets and if you have any documented information contact him. If not retweet it and spread the word.
