Shortly after new oil and ore deposits have been discovered (see post), the old Marble Grove Northern Ore Mine has been repurposed to supply local concrete production with desperatly needed stones.
Being unconstrained by ore availability, new extraction fields have been opened and local stone production quadrupled.
Today, the stone mine produces roughly 550t of stone per month, suplying half of the entire island's stone demand, bringing a boost to local economy and lowering the cost of building upkeep.
Local environmental initiatives welcome the urgently needed boost in job growth but also warn about the impact of the mine for local flora and especially fauna, citing studies about the Willowbird, domestic to the region and sensitive to noise produced by the mine.

After a steep economical decline linked to the depletion of Sumai Island's natural resource deposits, rising unemployment led to a windfall for Mayor Baynes. She won the election and swiftly fullfilled on of her major campaign promises: The establishment of a geological research center.
Massive opposition came from the Environmental Party who accused Baynes of receiving grand donations from the local oil & ore lobby. The party stresses the need to make Marble Grove and the entire island independent of the extraction of natural resources. They claim that the newly discovered resource deposits can only offset the economic downfall of the island, not prevent it.

LCD not powered despite having a power connection

Hi all,

does anybody know why my LCD is refusing to be powered?

https://preview.redd.it/zklmer9ujpjh1.png?width=2033&format=png&auto=webp&s=27caaf25e6458a6a45e99362e5a690f4af99dcf6

The connected network provides enough power via solar panels, and the IC housing is powered.
Can the LCD not connect to heavy cables for power?
And if so, how can I transfer data from the heavy line onto a normal line through a transformer?

Folder created in Thunderbird doesn't show up on server

Hi everyone,

please excuse me if I'm using the improper terminology.
I have the following issue: We are using a mail account created for our student body by our university.
The mail program made available by the uni (Horde Webmail) and especially its UI is (in my opinion) utter garbage and even their own tech support recommend using Thunderbird.
Now we are several people accessing the account and only I am using thunderbird, everyone else is using Horde.
I've just created a folder in Thunderbird to assign a batch of mail to one of my friends for processing, but the folder doesn't show up in Horde.
Does anybody know what the cause of that is?
