So I met this guy and I’m really confused about him.

He’s a final year medical student. He had only one relationship like 7 years ago and nothing after that. He says he’s in therapy for depression and anxiety, has insomnia, and once told me his mind feels like “full of chaos and screaming.”

At first, he seemed interested in me. But when we met, he said I look younger than my age and called me “kiddo.” So I thought okay, he’s not into me like that.

But then… we started talking a lot. Like hours on calls. He sometimes makes double meaning jokes and can be caring too. But then suddenly he calls me “bro” 😭

It’s so confusing.

I thought maybe he has a wall up because of his past relationship and doesn’t want anything serious. But when I asked, he said he does want someone, just someone who makes him “feel something.”

But honestly, it feels like he doesn’t know what he wants. One moment he’s acting close, next moment he’s acting like just a friend.

I really can’t understand him. Is he confused? Emotionally unavailable? Or am I just overthinking?

Any advice would help.
