taking out nostril piercing weekly

so i got a nostril piercing almost two months ago, and it’s given me no trouble whatsoever so far (i clean it all the time, it isnt inflamed or anything).

my friend asked me to play on her netball team which means i would have to take it out weekly for roughly 45 minutes - an hour.. is this gonna make the hole close/get infected? theyre very strict about no jewellery, but i’d put it straight back and spray it with the cleaning spray. it fell out for the first time yesterday and didn’t hurt/react at all to put back in, so i’m thinking it might be fine?

Bump next to nose piercing after switching to a ring

I got my nose pierced on April 12, 2026, and about a month later I changed the stud to a gold ring. After switching, this small white bump showed up next to the piercing.

It’s slightly raised but completely painless, even if I touch or poke it. No redness, swelling, heat, or discharge either and the ring is moving fine thankfully so idt the hole has the bump ig its sligthly above it. As for care i only use the after piercing lotion once a day daily.

The piercer said it looked infected, but I’m wondering if this seems more like an irritation bump/pustule from changing jewelry too early rather than an actual infection.

Anyone had something similar happen?

Is my placement too forward?

I feel like it could be ever so slightly more back and it would look sm better, my mom said im being stupid and trying to be too perfect and leave it, but i need opinions, should i get it redone? Or does this genuinely look right? I got it 2 days ago, from the front it looks great

Edit: i’m getting it redone as i took it out, i tried convincing myself i liked it, everyone in my household is really upsetting me saying i shouldn’t of took it out and im crazy and its a waste of money and im being too specific, which is making me MORE overwhelmed because what am i supposed to think? At the end of the day its not the look i want, i want it SLIGHLY more back, thats all, its my face and my choice, and MY money, if i dont have it the way i want it will bug me forever as i try convince myself i like it 😭 genuinely dont know what to think

Is my percing crooked

(*crooked= at wrong angle) Ik I have a screw, within the next month imma go back to my home peicer and see why I have a nose bump and if I should jewelry swap. But if I can confirm that it was done wrong (at a wrong angle) I would prefer for it to be taken out sooner than later so a scar doesn’t form. I did dump it on a towel three months ago but I fr think the towel isn’t the cause.

Is this okay?

I got it 5 days ago and I had a stinking feeling and pain . Now it feels like it's sinking inside I thought of adding small tissue piece under it so that it doesn't sink but if I touch it or try to lift it up it hurts .I used T bact yesterday and the pain lowered a bit what to do now

Septum piercing has irritation bumps

Excuse the state of my nose but I noticed after swapping my jewellery these two bumps have appeared, I checked and the jewellery is titanium so shouldn’t be a allergic reaction but the bumps would not go down, I have swapped the jewellery back to a plain clicker ring but want to know if there is any advice on how to help it go down sooner?

I have also started with a cold since and am worried blowing and wiping my nose will make it worse 🥺

Should I get a nose piercing?

I’m debating getting a nose piercing for my birthday, but I’m not sure I can pull it off?

I want it to look chic and cute! I asked AI just show me what I would look like with the nose piercing and I think she did a pretty good job!

What do you think? I mostly wear my glasses but included both with and without glasses!

Women, Please Stop Pretending Septum Rings Look Good

Hot take: Septum rings lower a woman’s attractiveness level almost every single time.

I have yet to see one and think, “Yeah, that improved the situation.”

Especially the crooked horseshoe ones. You spent an hour doing your hair, makeup, outfit, skincare… and then left the metal booger hanging sideways out of your nose like it lost a bar fight.

Ladies, I’m begging you. Retire the angry bull aesthetic. A septum ring can take a 10 down to a 4 in record time.

Since the only reasonable flair was "question", here is a genuine question: Women with septum rings: what do you actually like about them?

Is this normal?

Is it normal for them to be different angles inside my nose like this?

Irritation bump? Piercing was fine for 3 weeks but have had this bump for last 2 weeks.

Not touching and cleaning twice a day with Simply Saline nasal mist.

Nose piercing issue

I know I've searched this up, but I got my nose pierced a month ago (to the day) and it's not healing well at all. I have done all of the things I can find recommended here and online and with going back to my piercer. After a few weeks of it being red and irritated and starting to essentially grow over my stud, I went back and they put a longer post on with the flat implant grade titanium on the front. It was doing better (still had the bump) but it was looking better. I cut back once daily with the Neilmed spray because my piercer thinks I'm sensitive to it. It's back to not healing properly. I've used ibuprofen to help with swelling, I'm gently drying it off on the inside with a q-tip even after sneezing (she said she thinks the reason it wasn't healing was because it was damp). I'm literally at a loss because I've done everything I can think of. I'm leaving it alone. No twisting, touching or poking. The first pic was Thursday, the second pic was this morning. When I went to bed last night after I cleaned it, the whole silver disc was showing. Any recommendations before I can contact them Tuesday would be helpful!

Should I get a nose ring ?

Hi everyone,

So back in 2024 I had a nose stud but I toke it out and it closed over very fast 😔 I’ve had a lot of people say a nose ring would suit me but I’m not sure what everyone thinks. I’m not sure I’m correct but I think I may need a stud for 6 weeks before hand and then I change to a ring but what is everyone’s opinions ? Thanks ☺️

First time wearing a hoop… does it look okay?

It feels like it looks weird, but I might just not be used to it. What do y’all think?

first piercing | questions about bleeding

hi!!

i got my first piercing, a septum, about a day or two ago, on the 16th, and woke up late to some bleeding. i know the bleeding is normal, but it's ended up crusting completely around the bar, and is making it a little uncomfortable to move my nose or the skin around it.

any tips on how and when i should try to get this off? im aware of the idea that most crusties will come off when they're ready during showers or cleanings, but the blood coating the whole bar on this side makes me worry.

thank you so much!

Nose piercing not healing

I got my nose pierced in February and this bump still hasn’t gone away. The piercing is implant-grade titanium with a flat back, and it was done with a needle. I followed the aftercare properly using NeilMed saline spray 2x/day for about 4 months.

I went back to my piercer and they said it’s normal for the bump to last this long, but is it really? It does occasionally get bumped, but otherwise I’ve been careful with it. Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this for this long or has any advice. TIA.
