Is my septum pierced correctly?

Hi!

I just got my septum repierced. I had my old one for 10 months and it never healed, seemed to be in the wrong place, so I took it out and I waited a few weeks to repierce it with an APP piercer. The new one definitely did hurt and bled just a tiny bit, but the piercer said it went in very smoothly. I also didn’t feel any resistance, it was pretty quick. It might’ve hurt more because I had it pierced at a 12 gauge? Anyway, I’d love to hear opinions! The last image is my old septum.

Thank you!

Nose Piercing Irritation

My piercing was pierced March 30. I changed it May 25 and removed it to my original jewelry around 2 weeks after the bump appeared, June 6.

After speaking to my OG piercer I had it changed locally for a titanium labret. It is only getting larger. It was more surrounding the piercing a couple days ago.

When I went into get it changed, she said it was pierced at an angle which could be causing it.

Am I better off taking it out?

It looks like my irritation bump is trying to eat my piercing ball

I’ve been cleaning with a Q tip could that be a factor as to why this is happening

Nose hoop for work settings?

Hello guys, I am died hard fan of this forum and got lots of helpful advices by just scrolling through here, and I dont find similar question so figured to have my virgin Reddit post about nose piercing, I got my nose piercing last year September with the intention in the end to change it to hoop, I been behaving not changing too early and staying with gold plated stud, and I grew to like the look of the stud as well, recently I finally got a job(yohu🙌) but since the hoop look is sth I went in for the piercing so in the back of my mind still have a small desire to one day switching to hoop, so my question is for ladies and gentlemen that work in corporate settings if the nose piercing is allowed, do u think maybe the stud look is perceived more professional or minimum? I know different companies will have different rules but just want to gather some opinions or infos that in general in corporate settings is stud or hoop look more common or really its just random game? Danke🙏

nose piercing just not healing help

i’ve had my nose pierced since august 2025 and it’s just not healing

i’ve never really had this much trouble with my piercings and i have a fair bit in various places

i did however change the nose piercing early sometimes and switch it back to titanium bc i had to hide in some circumstances but i also think it’s the way it’s pierced could be a reason possibly

this isn’t my nose but it’s pierced like the first photo and not align with the way my nose curves idk if it matters but if it does what should i do?

Double nose piercing

Hi, yesterday I did my second nostril. I don’t know if I’m thinking too much about it (and making it worse than it is) or if my second nostril is too crooked.
Do y’all think it’s a common type of asymmetry (probably because of the anatomy and maybe swelling) ,that is pierced wrong and is too visible?
I also wanna say that the first photo was taken 5 hours before the others

Do I need to downsize my nostril piercing?

Was told on the care instructions to tighten my nose piercing regularly (haven’t done it once because I’m scared lol) and that I should visit my piercer for a downsize. My piercing is 2 months old and I’m scared it’s gonna fall out but it’s healing great so I don’t want to mess it up

piercing bump

I had gotten my nose pierced almost 4 weeks ago, the start of the week I noticed this bump which I believe to be a moisture bump. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of it?

Should i change my jewellery?

I got my nose pierced 2-3 weeks ago and the top of the nose pin has itself formed a crater on one side to sit in so the part under it is kinda fresh red skin? The stud is pretty big so i don’t think it’s going to get embedded but it seems to be embedding in on one side. Should i switch to a bigger jewellery? What should i do?😭

Do I have a permanent scar on my nose??

I got this piercing done in November of last year, and it was healing beautifully until I got a bad cold in February and it just went downhill from there. It developed an irritation bump which wouldn’t go away and just kept getting worse and worse. I had a tiny little stud with a flat back that I changed out to another flatback piercing with just a little flat metal piece of the top. My piercing itself is healed, but the bump around it has hardened and won’t go away and I’m scared I’m just stuck with this on my face. I also have seen some things about steroid shots to get rid of it, but I can’t afford to go to the dermatologist right now. It doesn’t really look big in the picture, but it kind of stands out on my face and my nose jewelry almost makes it stand out more when I wear it

Nose piercing bump

Hi everyone, I need some advice about my nose piercing.
I got my nose pierced in April (it was done with a piercing gun), and now it’s July. I haven’t changed the stud since getting it pierced, so it’s still the original jewelry.
Around 3 weeks ago, I noticed a bump forming next to the piercing. It has grown quite a bit since then, but recently it seems to have stopped getting bigger. There was also some bleeding recently.
I’m worried because I’m not sure if it’s just an irritation bump, a keloid, or something else. I’ve attached a picture.
Has anyone experienced something similar? What could this be, and what should I do to help it heal?

Bump help

What should i do?

I got the nostril back in March its a flatback

I clean it twice a day with saline and try to avoid touching

It goes down sometimes then comes back to this

Does my nose ring look like it is rejecting?

Has not been downsized, I use sterile spray, it’s 4 weeks old and a flat head. I recently dyed hair and some residue of the water got on my nose. Maybe that is why it hurts and looks off?

Is this normal or infection?

Got my nose pierced 4 weeks ago.
This spot started making an appearance a week ago. Just before this spot/bump appeared, it felt sore in that location just like when you can feel a normal spot about to pop up on your skin. No pain or soreness now. No puss or smell either.

Been cleaning with saline solution.

Just wondering if this will go away on its own or if I need to do something?

help

ok this is my first post on Reddit be patient with me BUT about a week ago I replaced my corcscrew nose stud with this which is supposed to be a septum and it’s a bigger gauge 💀. I got a flat back that’s 18g (which is what the corcscrew was) but I’m scared if I take this out and put in something else it’s going to irritate it more?? Might be being irrational but lmk💔
