I kind of already know the answer is no but I have spoken to some folks that did see him at least on his own a number of years ago, was this some last big tour? I need to see him/them.

I notice that when it's scrobbling from YouTube Music it will scrobble the artist and track, but not the album? So I have plays recorded for the artist and track but nothing for the album it's from?

Anyone know how to correct this glitch or what?

Those Spotify mods were becoming exhausting. With the amount of times I had to relogin, update, change details. It was becoming a chore to use it after a certain point.

YouTube Music has better sounding streams and yknow, actually lets me listen to the music I want to with no compromises needed from me other than just update it every so often. Has the situation with the Spotify premium mods improved at all? I do prefer Spotify as a platform but in terms of streaming service premium apks available Spotify just wasn't feasible after a while for me.

For context, I'm 27 now. Turning 28 in a couple of weeks.

I used to be such an avid music nerd and I still am in my own ways but these days I really only keep up with or hear about releases from artists that I've loved since I was 16ish, I haven't found a new artist I love in a long time.

I used to hang out with a lot more music obsessed people back then but many of those people turned out to be shitty friends or the friendships just vanished over time. As well as that, I was in a lot of Facebook groups (The infamous '>implying we can discuss music' etc) which, it's 2026 and I'm not using Facebook anymore, as well as that I feel like that 'Death Grips era' for lack of a better name of music discourse is long dead and non-existent now.

Basically, my sources of hearing about new music or more niche and interesting artists is no more and now I only hear about very critically lauded albums (Geese, black midi, fontaines etc) or like huge new albums and that sweet spot of music nerdom I had is no more.

So I feel like I need to find new sources. I'm trying to use RYM but I find the whole website very inaccessible and clunky more often than not and a couple Instagram pages, but I wouldn't always have my ear to the ground there.

Worst of all but probably most of all, it's probably just me getting older and not having as much time on my hands as I did back then but I don't want to be one of those people that just gives up on music and is just "grr it was good when I was young!!" shaking my fist as the clouds.

TLDR: I'm getting old and don't know how to keep up with new music or learn about new music.

I'm a big music nerd and as such have always been torn to find a home for my 'Letterboxd for music' site. I keep coming back to rateyourmusic and have been using it infrequently for many years now. Just the clunky nature and look of the site really frustrates me and most notably, the fact that I can't log an album as 'relisten' the way I can 'rewatch' a film on Letterboxd or that I can't change the date I listened to something, it has to be the date that I'm logging it? Just simple things like this that should be a given for any music journal site being absent piss me off lol. I know RYM predates Letterboxd by many years but still the convenience of these features - for me at least - can't be understated and doesn't encourage me to be as consistent on keeping it up to date the same way I would be on Letterboxd. Is there a specific way any of you use it that would make it easier to adapt?

The charts, new release feature and insanely comprehensive and informative database crushes any other music website I've seen. It can't be denied, so I wanna get used to it but it does infuriate me as a website sometimes lmfao

I get it. It's It's own artform, way of self expression or whatever but it is eerily close visually to being a stripper/sex worker and I feel like 9/10 women get harassed and called strippers that are just doing pole as an activity but I don't think they should be surprised or offended when they get harassed when they are doing something like that that is sexual by nature, in a way

My girlfriend and I broke up, a relationship of 3 years. The hardest part about getting used to being single again is just how quiet everything is, barely any notifications on my phone any more. I am trying to not distract myself from it too much and just embrace the quiet of it all and face up to it because it will be my new normal for a while it's just so lonely. So I'd like to hear how others feel about it or dealt with it

My partner of 3 years and I always called each other Bubu and Dudu. Instagram was always a place for us to send cute videos to each other and encourage each other but now we'll be starting no contact soon to adjust to our departure from one another. Is there some way that I can reset my algorithm or something? Bubu Dudu and other cute content is all over my feed because we used to send it all the time, even pages I don't follow appear.

Has anyone else here experienced this and how did you manage it if so?

I work in a metro store in Ireland. We were told today after an audit that we are not allowed to have any soft drinks or energy drinks, basically any drink that isn't water on our person while being on the shop floor or serving customers. I am pretty shocked that they would go this far, it seems like a breaching of one's freedom of choice to be telling employees what to drink while working. I am thinking of going to my union with it but I'm not sure how much credibility it has as a case, it just seems like such a ridiculous request on their behalf. Are other stores like this?

I have friends of different races and gender orientations and consider myself an ally but I'm also quite shy, conflict avoidant and like people to like me. I work in retail, so as you can imagine amongst older people and working class people a lot of narrow minded views of race, gender and sexual orientation get mentioned off the cuff when certain customers enter and what not.

I feel like even though I don't internally agree by acknowledging their point of view and not challenging them on it, I am enabling that point of view. I don't really care to challenge people on views like these because I think one has to factor in the context of the person as regards their personality, interests and of course the environment they grew up in as these all inform these views held and I try and be sympathetic with that and realise not everyone is the same or going to agree but by proxy, I feel like I'm letting the different skin and sexuality, gender oriented people I love down and it feels as if I'm just assimilating socially rather than being sincere, if that makes any sense. To either of them.

Part of me feels it's harmless, because neither party see either contrasting side but I feel like I'm being bad by just accepting whatever is in front of me. I like some of these people with bad views too and I don't want to lose them and quite frankly I don't care to argue with them over things I know they won't care to hear me out on.

I'm an Irish fan, but I'm going on a trip to Edinburgh the week it hits UK and Irish cinemas. I can't seem to find details of a listing in Edinburgh, only Scotland. Anyone see it listed for Edinburgh anywhere?
