Can anyone explain what the deal is with this password thing on The Flenser site when I go to buy merch?

I click on a product, then this password request appears. Not a login or email, just a password box. I enter in my password for my account on the site and it tells me it's invalid, even though it isn't it is literally the correct password to my account. What password does it need?! I want to buy Giles Corey merch!!

Are there any official Infinite CDs out there or should I just buy a bootleg?

I have most of Ems discography on CD - besides the re-up and D12 etc - as a completionist, I'm looking to get Infinite but should I just get a bootleg? I'm unaware of it's availability these days

Do you think this is real or fake?

I bought this CD Mono Boxset off Vinted just recently for outrageously cheap (€70) the seller is also selling a few other sealed boxset collections of studio albums on CD and besides that just a bunch of clothing. It's sealed so I can't be sure of it's authenticity beyond how it looks on the outside but it looks okay from what I can tell!

The only thing that looks suspicious is the top line of the square seems further from the rim of the box than the bottom one, but that could just be the angle it's taken at. As well I'm not sure if the text on the spine is off center? My eyes could be playing tricks on me but I don't know.

Assuming everyone here knows how often this set gets faked and the affordable price has me suspicious lol

What are some good ways to learn to play guitar like Elliott did?

I'm a pretty intermediate guitarist now and mostly play acoustic with some relatively simple fingerpicking patterns. Besides the obvious of just learning how to play his songs, is there anything specific I should learn to advance to that stage of playing? I know this is a fan sub and not a guitar sub but figure some people would know here lol

Does anyone else just get pissed off when they see a song you wanna learn in a whole different tuning?

I'm usually always in half a step down. Which is nice because you can play most things which just has a slightly different sound that's a bit more moody. I find having to tune my guitar down to a completely different tuning for just one song to be kind of bothersome though, but maybe that's just me.

I'm intermediate at guitar and have been playing for well over a decade now, but things like this still annoy me lol. What's everyone else's thoughts on this? It just puts me off learning said song and I'm always like; there has to be a way to play this without tuning down haha

No live scrobbling via Deezer on Android?

I've been using Deezer on Android and it scrobbles every song once it's finished playing but it has no live scrobbling feature for some reason, like no now playing? Anyone know what the issue is here or how to go about fixing it?

I'm using the Last FM app for scrobbling, pretty much always works.

Does Jeff or NMH play shows at all anymore?

I kind of already know the answer is no but I have spoken to some folks that did see him at least on his own a number of years ago, was this some last big tour? I need to see him/them.

Any Last FM users here notice this glitch with YT Music?

I notice that when it's scrobbling from YouTube Music it will scrobble the artist and track, but not the album? So I have plays recorded for the artist and track but nothing for the album it's from?

Anyone know how to correct this glitch or what?

Can anyone tell me the difference in model and features in my old and new quietcomforts?

Grey cups with ducktape (old) and black (new)

I had a pair of quietcomforts that I bought second hand in 2018 for about €190, best headphones I ever had so I decided to dish out big money for new ones when the right earpiece started to come loose and had to be ducktaped to use. Paid £204 (€244.50) for brand spanking new ones that I love so far.

I am confused though as they aren't the 2nd gen ones, but seem to be quite different in shape and features besides the basics to my old ones and would like to know the differences. Online they're all listed as just 'Quietcomfort headphones' so it's not very clear which is which lol

I completely gave up on Spotify mods a couple months ago and have been using YouTube Music mods since, a much smoother and less annoying experience. Is there a decent Spotify one these days?

Those Spotify mods were becoming exhausting. With the amount of times I had to relogin, update, change details. It was becoming a chore to use it after a certain point.

YouTube Music has better sounding streams and yknow, actually lets me listen to the music I want to with no compromises needed from me other than just update it every so often. Has the situation with the Spotify premium mods improved at all? I do prefer Spotify as a platform but in terms of streaming service premium apks available Spotify just wasn't feasible after a while for me.

Anyone feel out of touch with music?

For context, I'm 27 now. Turning 28 in a couple of weeks.

I used to be such an avid music nerd and I still am in my own ways but these days I really only keep up with or hear about releases from artists that I've loved since I was 16ish, I haven't found a new artist I love in a long time.

I used to hang out with a lot more music obsessed people back then but many of those people turned out to be shitty friends or the friendships just vanished over time. As well as that, I was in a lot of Facebook groups (The infamous '>implying we can discuss music' etc) which, it's 2026 and I'm not using Facebook anymore, as well as that I feel like that 'Death Grips era' for lack of a better name of music discourse is long dead and non-existent now.

Basically, my sources of hearing about new music or more niche and interesting artists is no more and now I only hear about very critically lauded albums (Geese, black midi, fontaines etc) or like huge new albums and that sweet spot of music nerdom I had is no more.

So I feel like I need to find new sources. I'm trying to use RYM but I find the whole website very inaccessible and clunky more often than not and a couple Instagram pages, but I wouldn't always have my ear to the ground there.

Worst of all but probably most of all, it's probably just me getting older and not having as much time on my hands as I did back then but I don't want to be one of those people that just gives up on music and is just "grr it was good when I was young!!" shaking my fist as the clouds.

TLDR: I'm getting old and don't know how to keep up with new music or learn about new music.

How do you all use the site?

I'm a big music nerd and as such have always been torn to find a home for my 'Letterboxd for music' site. I keep coming back to rateyourmusic and have been using it infrequently for many years now. Just the clunky nature and look of the site really frustrates me and most notably, the fact that I can't log an album as 'relisten' the way I can 'rewatch' a film on Letterboxd or that I can't change the date I listened to something, it has to be the date that I'm logging it? Just simple things like this that should be a given for any music journal site being absent piss me off lol. I know RYM predates Letterboxd by many years but still the convenience of these features - for me at least - can't be understated and doesn't encourage me to be as consistent on keeping it up to date the same way I would be on Letterboxd. Is there a specific way any of you use it that would make it easier to adapt?

The charts, new release feature and insanely comprehensive and informative database crushes any other music website I've seen. It can't be denied, so I wanna get used to it but it does infuriate me as a website sometimes lmfao

Women that do pole dancing and expect to not be sexualised or mistaken for a stripper are kidding themselves

I get it. It's It's own artform, way of self expression or whatever but it is eerily close visually to being a stripper/sex worker and I feel like 9/10 women get harassed and called strippers that are just doing pole as an activity but I don't think they should be surprised or offended when they get harassed when they are doing something like that that is sexual by nature, in a way

How do you all deal with how quiet your days become?

My girlfriend and I broke up, a relationship of 3 years. The hardest part about getting used to being single again is just how quiet everything is, barely any notifications on my phone any more. I am trying to not distract myself from it too much and just embrace the quiet of it all and face up to it because it will be my new normal for a while it's just so lonely. So I'd like to hear how others feel about it or dealt with it
