In my case, it was GTA San Andreas. I started it purely for the story and missions. Some were great and others were pretty challenging, but it ended up being so long that I couldn't finish it.

Well, actually I didn't want to kick anyone off Team Z, but for that first game it was necessary so that they would respect Robert and take their work as heroes more seriously. In my first playthrough I had to fire Coupe; he was excellent in missions, but I felt he was still a bit unstable compared to Sonar.
Well, for me, the story that left me thinking the most because of how sad it is was Life is Strange 2. It's hard to process the things that happened in that game, just like at the beginning of True Colors.
