HELLP syndrome pregnancy #2

Hello! I just recently gave birth to my baby by c-section following a diagnosis of HELLP syndrome. I had symptoms for a few weeks prior to them really worsening at the end of the pregnancy but didn’t recognize it because I was already severely ill with a virus and couldn’t differentiate what was happening to me. Baby was unaffected but it took me about a week in the hospital to recover afterward as I was stuck with high blood pressure and liver enzymes and some pretty bad anemia on top of the c-section. Nurses and doctors were not outright discouraging me from getting pregnant again ever, but the subliminal messaging was pretty clear and they all warned me it could be really dangerous to get pregnant again possibly for both me and baby, especially if it developed earlier on in the pregnancy.

However, I really want a second within the next few years. I’m just worried I could develop HELLP again. I’ve seen treatment is to take aspirin but I am contraindicated for NSAIDs… Did anyone NOT get it for their 2nd baby? If you did, what did you do? Just looking for general experiences!

Baby won’t relatch

1 week old. FTM. My baby is cluster feeding. Sometimes in the last few days he will nurse, get sleepy, and pop off. But then he wants back on immediately after and he acts like he can’t relatch? I have to change sides to solve the problem. Any tips? Reason???

Best article of clothing you bought for postpartum?

I really want some good comfy cozies for at home, something to wear in and out of the hospital, and some easy things to wear on walks and stuff postpartum this summer. But it seems like such a weird time… your bump is still sort-of-there, sort-of-not? I don’t know how to dress for that. Should I just buy a few maternity lounge things? What if it’s way too big? I want something pretty and soft, I don’t want to feel baggy and homely afterward. Any links for things you loved having?
