Ripples in passenger seat on a week old Model Y
I just noticed this a couple of days ago. I definitely don’t recall seeing it at delivery, and it showed up just after a week of owning this car.
I opened a service ticket and was told it’s “normal.” I get that seats will eventually show some wear, but I’m struggling to accept that this is normal after just one week, especially since the passenger seat has literally only been sat in once, on pickup day. My 4.5-year-old Volvo XC60’s seats are in pristine condition, zero ripples, so this totally caught me by surprise.
Tesla offered to do a steam treatment. Has anyone gone that route? Did it actually fix the issue, or did the ripples come back after a while?
My hesitation is that if I accept the steam treatment and the problem returns later, I’m worried Tesla will just say they already addressed it and I’ll lose any chance of getting a more permanent fix. (i.e. seat replacement etc.)

Anyone else’s Frenchie have a built-in neck pillow? 🤣
I blame this guy for my first Tesla purchase 🐾
Pet Mode might be my favorite Tesla feature so far. As a dog owner, I can’t believe I waited this long to get one. 😂
Now show me your best Pet Mode dog pics!

Marine Blue and Deep Blue together in the same lighting
I know a lot of people here say they can’t tell the difference between Deep Blue Metallic and Marine Blue. I happened to park directly across from one, so you can judge for yourself. The difference is pretty subtle. Marine Blue (left) is just a touch darker, which will be more noticeable in the shade. Honestly, I don’t think you can go wrong with either color. I’d be perfectly happy owning either one.

Marine Blue in direct sunlight. I’m obsessed 🤩
I picked it up on a rainy, overcast day and honestly thought, “Wow, this is way darker than I expected.” It almost looked black.
Today was the first time I saw it in direct sunlight. The blue really comes alive 😍

I finally caved and grabbed an inventory car..
So I originally ordered a Marine Blue Premium AWD with black interior on May 28. Four days later, I switched to white interior. My EDD initially moved from June 16–30 to June 6–20, which got me excited, but two days later it shifted back to June 17–30.
Today, while randomly browsing inventory, I spotted a new Marine Blue AWD with black interior and a tow hitch available. I messaged Tesla, and they told me the car is already in Austin (I’m in Dallas). I was able to switch my order and secure the VIN, and now I’m just waiting to schedule delivery.
The trade-off is that I had to give up the white interior and make a 200 mile drive each way to pick it up. But with our international trip coming up on July 8, and after following the delivery threads and seeing how much Marine Blue delivery dates have been bouncing around, I wasn’t very confident my original custom order would arrive before we leave. We’ll see how quickly this one gets scheduled!
Got a fly on his nose and he was trying to lick it off 🤣
When you buy your dog a million different toys..
.. but he still prefers this over everything. 😑
Just saw Marine Blue in the showroom today
Just wanted to share in case anyone else is on the fence. I was definitely a little surprised when I saw it. It’s a lot darker than I thought. At first, I didn’t like it and even considered changing my order. But after spending about 10 minutes walking around it and looking at it from different angles, it really started to grow on me. The color seems to change depending on how the light hits it. When it’s not in direct light, it almost looks like Stealth Grey. The sales rep told me it looks much brighter in direct sunlight. I wish I could see it in person.
Really interesting color! What do you guys think?
Loan expiration
Anyone knows how long is financing approval usually good for? The fine print on Tesla app says 30–60 days, but is there anyway to know for sure whether it’s 30 or 60?
I was approved through JPMorgan on May 29, and my current estimated delivery window is June 16–30. My concern is losing my rate if the delivery gets delayed.
I had originally planned to wait before applying, but my Tesla advisor encouraged me to do it right away since the 0.99% promotion could end at any time, so I went ahead and applied.
How much bigger do they grow after 6 months?
My pup just turned 6 months old today and weighs 19 lbs. I’ve heard that by this age they’re already around 80–90% of their adult weight. Was that true for your pups? How much did they weigh around 6 months, and how much did they end up weighing fully grown?
