Looking for game recommendations for my non/new to gaming mum

Hi! I’ve been trying to get my mum (58) into gaming recently, I tried her with a mobile game called Hay Day and she’s OBSESSED. She really enjoys the farming, taking care of animals and fulfilling orders part of the game, she’s not huge on the decorating part but is slowly getting into it.

Now she’s wanting to maybe try a new game, but a lot of the usual stuff I’d recommend she doesn’t like the look of. For example, she doesn’t like the look of Minecraft or Stardew valley because of the art style, she doesn’t like the pixle-y or blocky style of it.

With all this info, what would be some games you’d maybe recommend? Mobile, switch and Xbox game pass games are all options for us, I’m maybe going to try her on Palia since I’ve heard good things about it, but any recs would be appreciated!!! Thanks so much :)

Best medication for tachycardia that doesn’t tank blood pressure?

Hi! I’m bedbound due to my ME/CFS but I also have POTS. A couple years back when I was less severe I tried propranolol and ivabradine to try and lower my HR.

Propranolol worked for a couple months but then made me develop chronic dry eyes and I haven’t been able to get rid of them since. Ivabradine was amazing for two years, UNTIL I became bedbound and I found due to me not moving, it just made my BP and HR crazy low.

I really wanna try some diff meds because my HR is making me super uncomfortable, and exacerbating my ME/CFS. I’ve seen some people on here try the other meds that are under the propranolol umbrella, is it worth trying those? Thanks so much!

This might sound a bit silly.. but does sleeping with your American girl doll in bed damage their hair?

I’m new to doll collecting, and also from the UK, so I had to spend a lot more for my current dolls that you normally would have in the US. I have a Samantha that I love so much, and I’m also bedbound due to my disability, so I want to cuddle with her in my bed. Issue is, I’m really worried about her hair.

I know this sounds silly since the dolls are literally meant for kids to play with them, but I really don’t wanna muck up her hair with it rubbing against the duvet or sheets. I’ve also seen people talk about how you need to be so careful with their hair when brushing, so I’ve always been a little scared of touching their hair too much. Does anyone else here sleep with their dolls? Is their hair more durable than it looks?

Losing tons of weight, likely to be muscle atrophy? + can it effect the stomach?

TW!! Rapid weight loss, gastric issues, severe ME

*just to clarify first, I have been to my dr about the sudden weight loss, I’ve gotten blood tests to rule out cancers, thyroid/hormones etc, all came back normal. My dr doesn’t understand ME nor gets how severe I really am. I am bedbound.

Hi all! I’ve been having some super rapid weight loss recently and I was wondering if it could be due to muscle atrophy? At the beginning of this year I was about 127lbs (57kg), and now I’m 113lbs (51kg). A lot of days I’m losing at least half a pound, only balancing out for a week or 2, then going right back to dropping. I’m pretty much bedbound, and have been for about 2 years now, but definitely gotten a lot more sedentary in the past 7-8 months.

I only ask because my stomach issues have been getting soo much worse, I’m not able to eat much food before getting painfully full, + draining so much energy to digest. And it definitely isn’t helped because I’m lying down/propped up for all my meals. So I was wondering if maybe all the lying down with eating + the muscle atrophy could cause my digestive system to get all messed up? I’ve been looking into gastroparesis for a few years now and did get referred, but had to cancel appointments due to ME. I just don’t think it’s solely that because a lot of the foods that are recommended for it shred my stomach apart. The only thing that doesn’t hurt to eat are ensures, but it just isn’t a long term solution for me.

I will be speaking to my dr again, but I just wanted to get some advice to see if anyone else has experienced the same, and if there’s anything specific I should try and push for. My dr is an idiot LOL

Thanks so much!

TLDR: could muscle atrophy cause stomach/digestive issues to worsen due to losing muscles, and if anyone else has experienced the same or has any advice on how to make eating less tiring?
