Looking for a safe place to live and work remotely in Hunza/Skardu for a month (25F)

Hi everyone!
I’m a 25-year-old woman from Islamabad with a fully remote job, so I can work from anywhere in Pakistan. I’ve always felt happiest in the mountains, and instead of just taking a vacation, I’m thinking of spending about a month living and working remotely in Hunza or Skardu to see if this lifestyle is right for me.
I’m looking for recommendations for:
Safe and budget-friendly homestays, guesthouses, or apartments that offer monthly rates.
Reliable internet for remote work (including video calls).
Areas that are peaceful but still have access to groceries, cafés, and basic facilities.
Places where other remote workers or digital nomads stay.
I’d also love to connect with like-minded women. If you’re a woman from Islamabad (or elsewhere in Pakistan) who has worked remotely from the northern areas, or if you’re planning to do something similar, I’d love to hear from you. It would be great to connect, share experiences, or even plan a stay together if we’re compatible.
If you’ve personally lived in Hunza or Skardu while working remotely, I’d really appreciate any advice:
Which town or village would you recommend?
Which accommodation had the best internet?
How much should I expect to budget for a month?
Anything you wish you had known before going?
Thanks in advance! Looking forward to hearing your experiences and recommendations.
