Do you think that The Good Doctor portrays autism accurately?

I began watching The Good Doctor mainly because of the main character (I have aspergers syndrome) and I personally really like this representation.

I really like how he struggles to understand social cues and how he struggles to express his feelings in emotional situations. I also really like the sincerity of Freddie Highmore's character.

What do you guys think?

What is with Himmler now?

After seeing that Burgundy will be removed :(, I also saw that Himmler will now be an option to success Hitler as führer.

How does this affect the lore? Does this mean that the SS-Coup during the West Russian war never existed?

Do any of yall have a special hyperfixation on a movie?

I'll state my (17yo asperger male) case: my personal favourite movie is a spanish horror film named REC 1 and I first saw it back on 2021 but my hyperfixation into the saga returned on april last year.

Apart from getting hyperfixating into cinema thanks to the movie itself (although I now like cinema a lot I got interested in this movie because the main actress was my first movie cursh), I have already watched this movie 17 times (14 during last summer) and I even have memorized many lines of the movie.

Do any of you have such a hyperfixation for a movie like I have with REC 1? Just curious

I miss her. So much.

Even though we only talked for two months (we talked everyday all-day long), the last time we met we kissed. However, two days after, she told me that she didn't feel the same way as I did. The first two weeks didn't hit really hard because I felt completed (I'm a 17yo autistic teenager and I never had a relationship before) and happy that it didn't end up as a dellusion.

Now, a month after the last time we talked, I think I got over it but at the same time I haven't. I'm eager about the future and the new people that I might meet, but that girl made me see heaven myself. She made me touch the gates. She filled the space that no girl of my age ever filled in my 17 years of life. She made me feel unique and she showed me something similar to love.

I will get over it but... damn... I'd do anything just to be another hour with her. I miss her and everything about her. Now, I'm back on my cave of lonelines and feeling that something is missing again. I wish I saw her one more time. I can't blame her (she expressed her feelings) but I'd do ANYTHING to be in a relationship with her.

This post isn't about a romantical situation, it is about me feeling empty again and with a missing piece that completed the puzzle during two months.

Has anyone also done this?

Today at night, after I had dinner, I got overstimulated all of a sudden and I went to my garden, put on music and sat there and thought about life for 20 minutes. It was like some kind of shutdown in order to stop that feeling.

Ngl it was really useful and effective. I'll do more "stimuli-cancelling sessions" because over the last days I felt a little bit overstimulated. Do you usually do something similar?

I really recommend buying noise cancelling headphones

A couple of days ago my mom bought me the AirPods Pro. Since then, I've used them a lot and, as an autistic lvl 1 17yo male, it is really cool. Mainly, I love the noise cancelling feature because it is really useful when I want to be isolated from all stimuli and people around. Overall, I can assure you that these AirPods are really cool and useful. If you have enough money, you should buy them but you can also get basic noise cancelling headphones. These are one of the most useful items for autistic people ngl.

Why nothing ever happens?

I can't understand how no global outrage has began. In the last year these documents have been released:

The rape gang inquiry report. Literally describing how a rape network that damaged the lifes of 1/4 million white british girls (some of them being locked in cages) wasn't stopped by nobody (one of them even returned a girl to a rapist saying "have fun")

The Epstein files. A fvcking global elite involving very rich people that contributed to a rape network that controlled many spheres of the economic politics.

These two documents would cause a civil war in a world without brainless sheeps. However, nobody ever does nothing and the criminals still sleep peacefully in their beds while the basic western citizen struggles with housing and wages.

We are not angry enough.

Why were there so many young aces and commanders in ww2 that held wild records?

Some days ago, I learned about the story of Kurt Knispel and Otto Carius and I'm stunned because of how young they were when they achieved such numbers of total tank kills. I also learned about Erich Hartmann and his story on the JG 52.

Overall, I'm genuinely curious on the topic of young ww2 aces. What do you think?

Don't lose hope on being in a relationship

I'm a 17yo autistic male and I have what was once called Asperger's syndrome.

Yesterday, after almost two months of talking and chatting with her and after going to the cinema together twice, I have finally kissed her. For the first time in my life, I feel what love is and I won't die without knowing what teenage love is.

Therefore, I'd like to give a message: don't give up. I know I might sound corny or basic but it's the truth. Months ago I was slowly crumbling in loneliness because my social skills with people outside of my friend group are not the best (just like many people with autism) and because I'm a bit introverted. However, I was able to be brave and face my personal challenges and look where am I right now!

My beloved neurodivergents and brothers in Christ, never succumb to hopelessness. It will blind you from the oportunities that life might offer you. If she was okay with kissing and being with me (knowing that I'm an autistic person), you might be able to find a person that won't rate you because of the tag that has "autistic person" written in it, but because of who you are! I feel hope for the situation of y'all. Life is a giant road that you have to walk on because you can't sit and wait for it to come.

To sum up, never lose hope and be braver than yesterday, because this is what life is about: overcoming challenges.

Don't ever think that you are worthless. In this world, there is a person who values you for what you are on the inside. Never stop trying!

Which are in your opinion the best german generals/field marshals in ww2?

In my opinion, it has to be Manstein or Model. While Manstein was from the beginning and was the master mind of destroying France, capturing Sevastopol and the third battle of Kharkov, I personally feel admiration towards Walter Model and how he was able to stabilize many collapsing situations (that's why he was called "Hitler's firefighter") and how he created such defensive masterpieces like in Operation Mars where although having almost 500k less soldiers than Zhukov he was able to inflict over 100k casualties.

However, honour mention to Guderian.

What are yours?

How would you’ve reacted?

So a couple weeks ago I was in school and I was studying for a history exam (I’m a 17yo autistic teenager) and I was commenting with a friend that history for me was really easy and she said “I wish I had autism for history”.

I laughed and kept studying but that comment surprised me but didn’t offend me, I didn’t know what to say hahah. How would you have reacted to this comment? Curious to kno!

What are things that you'd like to see combined in zombie movies?

In my opinion, I think that REC 1 with the cinematography of 28 days/weeks/years trilogy would be such an amazing combination. I like imagining the scene where Ángela is running to the attic with In the house, In a heartbeat.

What are yours?
