Virginia Tech Helmet Ratings

I just ordered a new MIPS helmet (Fox Mainframe) on sale based on a [review](https://mbaction.com/fox-mainframe-mips-helmet/) that said it had five stars from V Tech, only to check and find out it only has three stars. The review was from 2022, so maybe it changed but my question is really how much the VT ratings matter? The same brands have helmets with all different ratings across a wide variety of prices which kinda makes me wonder.

Obviously any MIPS helmet will be better than the one I've had since 2013, but at the same time... would it be smarter to just pay a little more for a five star rating?

"Walking around like a one man army" with... one scary black gun.

Obviously this dope was breaking multiple laws but the hysterical response, and the councilman saying "automatic weapons have no place on our streets" just points to the total ignorance of what these things they want to ban actually are.

Just got this Scott Spark with a Duncan dropper and it has some play. My other dropper posts don't do this.

Ever since I got my 10A, I'll be scrolling and suddenly I've gone backwards. This never happened with gesture navigation on my previous phones. It also doesn't bring up the arrow symbol associated with intentional back gestures. It just flashes backwards. That suggests it's not screen sensitivity.

My new bike came with tubeless ready rims (30mm) but not tubeless ready tires so of course now I'm looking at tires. Currently I have 29x2.4. Bike can fit 2.6 in the back and 2.8 up front. I'm coming from mostly fat bike so the wider the better. I also really want gum walls if I can get them.

I'm a trail rider/bike hiker, so I'm not doing anything crazy. I like to keep my tires on the ground. My top priority is maintaining traction on climbs. I ride mostly hardpack with a lot of roots, and I'm often on old hiking trails with a lot of leaf litter. Some of the areas I ride have sugar sand which can be tough to negotiate.

Tires I've looked at include Maxis Rekon Exo, Terravail Kessel, Continental Trinotal Trail Rapid, WTB Ranger, Schwalbe Nobby Nic and Bontrager Gunnison Pro.
