hi everyone! i'm a 20 year old college student, and i've previously had three hamsters, two dwarves and one syrian. i've fallen into a bit of a grief-induced depression over the past year after the death of my kitten, and i'm looking into either getting another syrian or potentially getting female mice. i will do my own research, but i wanted to come on here and ask the community about some things:

1. the reason why hamsters fit my busy schedule pretty well is because some days they will not come out at all and that is perfectly fine and normal. i work 20 hours a week and i'm in school full-time, three days a week. would a group of mice work with my schedule?

2. i understand that mice and hamsters seem to have some broad similarities in their care, so i'm wondering if any people here have had both, and could share their experiences with me.

hi everyone! my boyfriend and i are coming to seattle end of august for 3 days and we both want to do lots of shopping. what are y'alls favorite local places for clothes, trinkets, decor, etc? stuff like boutiques, vintage shops, craft stores, etc

in our town we also have a mixed secondhand books and records store into one and i am wondering if seattle has something similar. i am an english major who really loves to read and i especially love secondhand books, but i don't want to just make my lovely boyfriend come watch me pick books out for two hours lol

we are staying downtown near pike place and would like to stay in that area!

just got new horizons on may 26th (not my first animal crossing, but the only other one i have played is an emulated version of wild world) and i now have 50 hours on it, half of the museum and critterpedia done, got KK to perform, built the hotel, built like 3 bridges, done 4 upgrades on my house, got all of my housing plots filled out, and much more.

i have a shitty job i hate but i have to keep until the end of the summer and this is probably the only thing keeping me sane at the moment <3

a dude came in with two orders with similar names. when i went to the back to look for the orders, i got confused about one of them and i went back to the front to ask him. there's a little window where i can see from the back to the front, and i saw that he was folded over. i was naive and i thought for a second that maybe he was just looking at something. when i went to the front to ask him about the orders, i saw that he was completely limp. he didn't even notice i was there. i didn't say anything from shock, just ran to the back. he was talking completely normally and was upright when someone else came in and when my manager went to talk to him and ask him for the names

i really hope he gets the help he needs :/

edit: i am a 20 y/o college student with zero personal experience with opioid addiction and i get paid 10/hr. no part of my training includes a video saying "hey, here's what to do if a dude drops limp in front of you." i deferred to my manager who did nothing and barely said anything either. i am not responsible for this man or anything he does. it is always easy to tell someone what they should've done and much harder to know what you would've ACTUALLY done in my situation. on top of the fact that i was stressed out and tired, i completely froze when it happened. i didn't even make a sound of surprise. being madder at me for not doing anything than at the guy driving with something (whether it was fent or something else, i don't know) in his system is insane!
