As a Garmin user, any regrets?

I want to buy my first computer and seeing the Karoo most often is the recommended unit for navigation I wonder if this is the one I should get.

I collect all my data on Garmin otherwise, how do you handle that using another device? Do you also record the ride on the watch?

Thinking the Edge Explore 2 is a good deal, it's about 50% less.

Thoughts? Are you happy with the Karro? Should i shell out? =)

Bikepackers with Garmin

I'm trying to build up some biking stamina but I'm finding it hard to recover.

Garmin sais Overreaching after a 30km ride and some Crossfit, it's aching just to commute 2km to work.

For people doing 10km+ every day, how does your legs feel? If you have a Garmin watch, do you ever reach a balanced status?

Packed size X-Dome 1+ vs X-Dome 2

I notice the Dome 2 packs down a few cm shorter that X-Dome 1+ (according to the website)

Alu is 44x13 vs 46x12

Carbon is 45x13 vs 48x12

Is this true?
Also, looking at the poles themself, what are the actual lenghts for resp model?

The included pictures on both X-Dome 1+ and X-Dome 2 show the same image of poles, I guess the carbon poles for X-Dome 1+.

I would really like to know the packed pole sizes for both tents, alu and carbon if that 's possible.

Overanalyzing and overbaging?

Trying to spec out my Fairlight Secan for some upcoming bikepacking.

I think given is the Tailfin Journey rack with the 18L CargoPack

Half frame bag, 3,8L

Aero bar bag

Then it's the question of front to back balance, both volume and weight:

Back: 16L or 10L panniers

Front: 10L or 5L fork packs

What combination would you suggest?

I like that the 16L panniers sit further down and front, and that they have the air valve.

So perhaps go 5L on the front then since I already have lots of possible storage? Or 10L and have the possibility to go without the back panniers on shorter rides?

Or the no-pannier version of the rack and put fork packs all over?

Balance between panniers and fork packs

Hi

I'm looking to get out bikepacking with full gear, tent, cooking and so on.

So far I've decided on the Tailfin CargoPack (18l) and after that I'm undecided what combination of sizes to go for.

2x10l or 2x16l panniers (38l vs 50l)

2x5l or 2x10l fork packs (10 vs 20l)

I think the 10l pannier looks much better..

Fork packs I don't know.. is the 5l just unnecessarily small?

Bike is a Fairlight Secan 3.0 in 54T.

Greatful for your thoughts!

I'm looking to buy two of those, one for each floor.

3 kids, 3 cats, mixed floors with some tiles, wood and vinyl. Rug in one bedroom.
