Anyone here from this area, there’s a road in a park in Simpsonville with sort of this roadside parking area, I guess mostly for overflow when they have events at this amphitheater on the property, and it’s kind of sloped up in a way that you can ride it like a ditch. Real mellow. Also a good medium fast hill to bomb, this road, when there’s not much traffic
I’ve seen people saying they are using kegels and caguamas and some other huge wheels on their surfskate decks. What does that look like? Seems like it would feel like driving the boat from the crow’s nest.
As in, the bone. I was carving a bowl with my new C5 trucks, which are great by the way, and I was really getting it, feeling like back in the day. It was really hot, and it was honestly past time to quit. I took a spill, and I hit the back of my head the hardest I have ever hit it in my 49 years of life. I was worried about a concussion. I sat down, and was pretty sure I didn’t have one. Later that day, my tailbone started speaking up “ hey, dude, I was there too.” A week and a half later, it’s still barking at me. Much better than it was, but I can’t skate but to fart around at the house, at least without being able to work the next day. Glad I had the helmet on, but those padded shorts I bought and hardly wear would have been useful too. I might be back out by now.
I am thinking about a Schooner for my CX trucks. I am curious about the different decks you all use, especially uncommon recommendations (that aren’t sold as completes from surfskate companies or collaborations)

My wife got me these C5 trucks for my birthday, and I have been getting it set up. I had a hard time eliminating wheel bite. I ended up pulling some purple Knuckles from another skateboard and it’s got it pretty much fixed, though I can just barely force the back truck to bite standing still and really cranking down with nose off the ground. I’m not crazy about how many threads I have out on the back kingpin. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a Rayne Tiger cruiser deck with a 15 and some change wheelbase and sanded wheel wells. I want to put some C5’s on it. The wheels I want to use are 64mm dragons. Will it work? I have some 60mm bones sharknado wheels as well, but they aren’t my favorite, and I feel like they might be too slick for such a carvy truck.
I buy stuff second hand sometimes. I have different wheels, decks, and trucks around sometimes and find myself Frankensteining up stuff to loan or gift. I have some Road Rider RKP trucks and may gift them to a friend who is just getting started. Are they worth giving, or would a recommendation for some different affordable trucks be worth more?
I have run my Bolsa 2 with Carver CX, and I recently got some 166mm Paris RKP trucks for it. I am going to keep it with the Paris setup, and I moved my carvers back to my Ghostnet deck. Anyone else who rides the Bolsa 2, what are your favorite wheelbases? I ride this setup mostly on pump tracks, but I had visions of getting more skatepark use out of it, and possibly some light free ride sliding. I noticed a little wobble in the berms at the pump track that feels like speed wobble. It doesn’t mess me up really, but it made me wonder what other people who ride it think about it.
Ok, on Heaven’s River, all the segments are spinning. What about the bends? What is inside those? They can’t spin, right? How do people pass through those?
Has anyone tried the new sector 9 setup with the gullwing surfskate trucks? I mean the new ones called Driver, not the sidewinders
I went from Carver CX to some Paris 165’s on my Bolsa 2, I’m looking forward to the pump track and the skatepark. I put my CX trucks back on another surfskate deck.
Having a hard time picturing the trip through the outer shell into the spinning section. I would appreciate if someone explained as to a child.
