Hello everybody, I happen to have 8.5hrs layover in Abu Dhabi and I’m hoping to take some time to see this city.

I would love to visit a souk as I’ve never been to one before. I’ll be arriving in AUH around 1:15pm on a Thursday. I’m not sure if souks have specific timings (in my country, markets are usually only open in the morning and close by the afternoon).

1. Which souk would be worth visiting if I wish to have a more authentic experience (spices/camels/textiles/snacks/etc). Maybe hang around for a quick late lunch or coffee.

2. will i be able to get an Uber to and fro from the airport?

3. anything else i can do in Abu Dhabi ? Thinking of visiting the mosque as well but not sure if I’ll have enough time.

4. How’s the traffic in Abu Dhabi usually like? I need to catch my connecting flight at 9:40pm at AUH so I’m trying to see how much time I need to travel back factoring in traffic.

First time connecting at Abu Dhabi. Anything I can do in Abu Dhabi for 8 long hours? 😭

I’m not talking about major incidents (fallout over money, sabotage etc) that cause irreparable damage to a friendship but it’s those subtle things that slowly eats away at it over time.

For example, not being able to feel happy for your achievements, calling you to hang out only when they’re bored, overly-sensitive so you have to always be careful about what you say around them, etc.

What are some subtle signs that tell you it’s time to move on?

Hello, I’m planning to snorkel at Tokashiki in late May. Will a swimsuit be sufficient for the water temperature during this time or should I go for a wetsuit?
