8.5 hours layover, which souk to visit
Hello everybody, I happen to have 8.5hrs layover in Abu Dhabi and I’m hoping to take some time to see this city.
I would love to visit a souk as I’ve never been to one before. I’ll be arriving in AUH around 1:15pm on a Thursday. I’m not sure if souks have specific timings (in my country, markets are usually only open in the morning and close by the afternoon).
Which souk would be worth visiting if I wish to have a more authentic experience (spices/camels/textiles/snacks/etc). Maybe hang around for a quick late lunch or coffee.
will i be able to get an Uber to and fro from the airport?
anything else i can do in Abu Dhabi ? Thinking of visiting the mosque as well but not sure if I’ll have enough time.
How’s the traffic in Abu Dhabi usually like? I need to catch my connecting flight at 9:40pm at AUH so I’m trying to see how much time I need to travel back factoring in traffic.
Will be happy and grateful to have tips and advice. Thank you!
