period or implantation bleeding?

hi, i really need some help bc i’m paranoid.

my periods are regular and normally heavy in the first two days, and last 5 days. they always start the 12th of every month.

my bf and i last had sex april 17th, which was one day after my period ended. he didn’t finish inside but he did on my behind. it trickled down a little but he immediately wiped it and i took a shower.

as of today, the 11th, i got my period. at 12 pm it started, light red and only a little, throughout the day until 4 pm it got extremely heavy, bright/dark red and has been like a normal period. however i’m not sure if this is my actual period or implantation bleeding. i’m terrified because i don’t want to be pregnant. when should i take a test? during my bleeding or after it’s done?
