USB Type-C DAC on a low-end phones
Hi all. I'm wondering, does anyone here use a low-end or an old phones with a USB Type-C DAC? Is it worth it and does it make a huge different?
And which USB Type-C DAC that's recommended to buy? Thanks.

I want to ask, what do you think is the best opening song and the worst that represent the story of the show? It doesn't has to be your number 1 favourite song, but the song itself is some sort prepare yourself on the story for the show.
As for me, Gaim's Just Live More by Gaim no Kaze is by far the perfect opening song that represent the show. It had that intensity and the hype and you feel that you wanted to fight for your life.
While as for the worst, I think it's Kiva's Break the Chain by Tourbillon. I like the song, and I like Kiva, but the song itself is too cheerful, it didn't felt like we going to watch some melodrama is going to unfold.
Hi all. I just want to ask and share if anyone has opinion on this.
I still has my old phone, Sony Xperia X Performance, and it's running Android 8. My current phone is just a low-end realme Note 50, running Android 15.
The Sony phone's DAC has support for 24/192, while my realme is expected has nothing special about it. On the Sony phone I enable Hi-Res, and on the realme I just use AAudio. Both phones I enable DVC, set SoX as the resampler and disable any equalizer.
I just use a cheap Chinese IEM, QKZ AK6, but it sounds perfectly fine for me.
I just compared both phone on normal FLAC files, but I found that the realme sounds marginally better than the Sony, the instrument and vocal sounds clearer and natural on the realme, while on the Sony it's sounds a bit harsher.
My question is, does newer version of Android has more advantages on the audio side and it's bypass most of the post-processing compared to old version of Android, OR, cheap phones are getting good now?
Hi all, does anyone here familiar with Taiwan's pop music in the era of 2002 to 2008?
I remember I saw a music video that aired on my local TV(Malaysia), it's might be around 2006(?). I'm not sure if the song is a bit older.
The music video is inside seems to be a night club, the singer is female and she's wearing outfit in red, and her pose and dance is quite suggestive.
I did tried to search some of Taiwan singers that I knew, for example A-Mei, Elva Hsiao, Jolin Tsai and Vivian Hsu, but I still have no luck finding it. Thanks.
Hi all. I'm sorry if this already been talk about. My friend wanted to watch Code Geass, but I remember there's another version of the anime where Sunrise change the soundtrack. And from what I heard, they change "Madder Sky" with another song/score on the finale.
Can I know, which streaming website that has the version with the original soundtrack? And on what year of release of the Blu-ray/DVD that they change the soundtrack?
I just also learn that Sunrise also did the same thing with s-cry-ed for the Blu-ray 5.1 release. Even Cowboy Bebop had some audio changes with other release.
It boggles my mind why Sunrise had the effort to change the soundtrack on Code Geass? I've check on the intro for the episode, they also change the soundtrack. For first time watcher, it's quite a hassle.
Hi all, I have something to ask, especially to the audiophile out there who's familiar with the original Evangelion soundtrack, OST I, II, III, Death and The End of Evangelion to be exact.
I'm wondering which one has the best sound? And please don't mention about the vinyl. 😅
1.Original release
2.1998 S² Works
3.2004 DVD-Audio release(Includes 5.1 version)
4.2013 HR Remaster Ver.
5.25th Anniversary Box(I've heard it's suffers from loudness war, thus the clipping, but I include this too)
Hi all, I have something to ask. Did you think was or is there any anime that consider as "Eva clones" that's better than Eva, or at least on par or close to Eva?
I always saw some people in the comment saying that RahXephon is better than Eva everytime if the opening song is being posted on secial media, but I'm not sure it's a troll or not.
But to be honest, I mostly forgot what RahXephon is all about, and I remember Cowboy Bebop more although I've watched it much earlier than RahXephon.
I'm totally suprised to know that, one of my favourite Tokusatsu writer, Keiichi Hasegawa was the one that wrote Polar Beginning. No wonder it's great.
And I'm a bit suprised to know that for Super Sentai, he's only wrote 2 of Gozyuger. If there one person that should get a shot to become the main writer for Super Sentai, it would be him.
He's the main writer for one of my favourite Ultraman series, Dyna and Nexus, and also wrote bunch of episodes of Tiga to Mebius. And he wrote half of episodes of Kamen Rider W, bunch of episode of Fourze, Drive, Ghost, Saber and he's the main writer of Gotchard.
And he's also the main writer for SSSS.GRIDMAN and SSSS.DYNAZENON.
Hi all. I want to ask, what's the best way to convert APE to FLAC using FFmpeg?
If I convert it using the default settting, does it use the default compression level? And 0 quality is loss right?
Thanks.
