fly-in idea?

i received a letter from Yale about 3-4 weeks ago and i'm thinking about using a lot of the information within it for the yale fly in question "why would you like to participate in this program? How do you think it would serve you in your College application process?" is this a good idea or should i do a deep dive into yale and why it fits for me specifically (to be honest I was going to use the information provided in the letter and connect it back to me and why I want to participate in the program of course, but should I research more into like their majors and things like that or should I just use what I was given?)

fly in programs

hello everyone!
So, recently I've started applying to fly-in programs, and I honestly don't know how to go about writing the why essay. Would anyone be willing to share their accepted fly-in program essays? specifically for Yale,Brown, Barnard, and Bryn Mawr (and others)
thank you so much!!!

i know this is kinda a weird ask but what colleges am i likely to get into with my stats+ preferences (rising senior)

Background:
Female
Egyptian American
First Generation (parent has degree but from other country)
Single Parent Household
low income
suburban/ urban area
public magnet school (4th best public high school in my state)

Intended Major: Public Policy, Pre-Law, Sociology, Government, International Relations

Preferences:
financial aid: I stated in my background, I am considered first generation (by some colleges) even then I am low income so I need as much financial aid as I can get. I would love to graduate debt free and since I do plan on going to law school I really need as much money as I can get. This is my most important factor when applying to college.
weather conditions/location: I DO NOT CARE i've been through it all and am genuinely flexible. would i prefer it to be warmer? yes, but the quality of my higher education is much more important. also the state doesn't really matter to me either, but I would prefer to get out of republican cities/states just because I don't really agree with the values down here? and I fear that with my interest in politics I am not meant to be in any republican city/state for college/career.
internships/help when applying to graduate school: I would love to have easy accessibility to hands-on working environments, especially since I plan on applying to law school. I would love to get my hands into the legal field with as much accessibility as possible. additionally I will need help when trying to take my LSAT and applying to graduate school so I would love for the school to have a program like that where you can major but also like have some other track(I know Emory has something like this and I really like that, but I don't like where Emory is located)

Academics:
3.7 U/W GPA
4.2 W GPA
No ranking, but I know that I am within the top 10%
1270 PSAT Score
28 ACT, 25 Math, 26 Science, 27 English, 31 Reading (retaking this summer)
Past APs: AP Bio: 4, APHUG: 5
Current APs: AP Lang (on track for a 5), APUSH(on track for a 4 or 5), AP French (teacher is very inconsistent with actually teaching our class so i'm probably getting a 2)

ECs:

- Student Board Member: serve on my local board of education to advise board of education members on school policies and how students view them by representing 81,000+ students in my county.
- Mayor's Youth Council: on my local mayor's youth council where we create initiatives with the ideas youth bring to us, represent the youth of my county to our Mayor so they can enact policies designed for youth.
- Student Government Representative: help my grade create events that help students balance work and enjoyment within a rigorous school
- Debate Secretary/ Social Media Manager: informs students on what events are upcoming and also was in novice policy and won the following awards at our monthly tournaments:
2nd Place Novice Policy Speaker
3rd Place Novice Team
2nd Place Novice Team
Special Award @ Banquet: Heart of the Team Award
-Model United Nations: we don't have an official club at my school but i was an advisor for many delegates and won outstanding delegate and outstanding resolution
- Youth In Government:
similarly to MUN we don't have an official club
This Year:
I did run for Blue Lieutenant Governor (but lost ☹️), and because of my campaign I focused on sharing YIG tips and advice on my campaign page so I became an advisor beyond my school (in the end the page gained 1k followers that were all delegates), also at this conference i was invited by the youth governor to create a summit/special bill focused on gerrymandering and the redistricting of our state and my bill passed almost unanimously in both chambers, but no awards
Last Year:
Presented three bills which all passed and one was awarded best bill and two got signed into mock law
- Sunday School Teacher: teaches kids the dogma of our church
- Rhizome: created events focused on youth civic engagement and activities with high attendance of over 30 people per event

Awards (some of these explanations i copied straight from my resume so that's why they sound formal):

Brandeis University Book Award: The Brandeis Book Award is presented to an outstanding high school junior who is in the top 10% of their class and who demonstrates a commitment to civic engagement, community service, political activism, social justice, or volunteer work. This award recognizes students who combine academic excellence with meaningful contributions to their communities, reflecting Brandeis University's values of curiosity, integrity, empathy, and a dedication to making a positive impact.
Lawyers Association of Women Scholarship Essay Contest 1st Place Winner: Recognized for excellence in originality, clarity, creativity, clarity, persuasiveness and quality in an essay on youth roles in fostering change and hope within communities.
MLK Values Reward 10th Grade Award Winner: Recognized for consistently embodying the core values of Martin Luther King Jr., demonstrating integrity, compassion, and social responsibility within the school community
PSJP Semi-Finalist Scholar
LEDA Semi-Finalist Scholar

THANKS EVERYONE!!!

hi guys!!! so all of my summer programs results have came out and i honestly don't know how to feel so i thought i'd share them along with my stats

Background:

Intended Major: Public Policy, Pre-Law, Sociology, Government

- Sunday School Teacher: teaches kids the dogma of our church
- Rhizome: created events focused on youth civic engagement and activities with high attendance of over 30 people per event

Essays: I had two main essays for most of these first one was mostly about who i am as a person and most of the time i wrote about my 504 plan and being in a rigorous learning environment taught me to become an uncomfortable advocate for myself, and ultimately i wanted no one else in the world to feel like that as well. the second prompt was mostly what's the biggest issue in the world, and i played with an analogy with diseases and corruption within government and politics which many thought were interesting

RESULTS:

Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America (LEDA): >!Semi- Finalist, No Interview, Rejected (this one bummed me out the most since I was so passionate about the program and really excited for it, it was on a vision board too talk about dedication)!<

Princeton Summer Journalism Program: >!Semi- Finalist, No Interview, Rejected (this result was expected since it's only 40 applicants chosen but it was a backup from LEDA)!<

YLS: >!Rejected (i think they choose people from a computer generator genuinely)!<

TN Governor's School for International Studies: >!Waitlisted, Rejected (this was literally my backup i don't even know why i got rejected)!<

TN Governor's School for Humanities:
>!Ghosted (idk how they just never gave me a response!< >!🤷🤷!<>!)!<

Questbrige College Prep Scholars: >!Rejected (did ts on a whim so it's okay i guess)!<

NBA High School Internship: >!Interviewed, Rejected (THIS WAS LITERALLY MY FINAL OPTION AND I GOT REJECTED!<>!😭😭!<>!)!<

hello!!
so, recently i was gifted an old MacBook from 2016, and re-downloaded the Mac OS onto the disk, but then when opening the mac and attempting to log into my icloud it keeps saying try again later. I think "it may just need an update" so i go to the app store to check and it shows my wifi is connected but it keeps on saying there's no Internet connection. I've tried doing a lot of things such as fixing the DNS and restarting but I don't know what's going on.
someone help pls.

hello everyone!!

months ago, i applied to matriculate and just got my response today saying that I am part of the program. however, I already applied to matchlighters (and lucky enough with their quick response time) already filled out my paperwork for matchlighters. Any idea on what I should be doing in this scenario???? should I go with matriculate or just stay with matchlighters???

i'm leaning towards matchlighters because i already completed my paperwork, but i've also heard it's just better. unfortunately, i'm really close to the date I'm supposed to be matched, so it would be really helpful if I could get advice as soon as possible!!!

thanks all!!!!
