Hows to eventual English Dub Might Look like

So, whats is your thought about the first two episodes ? have read the manga ? with the anime & manga gets an immense praised by fans & critics because Science Saru and Naoko Yamada managed to capture and respect Islamic & Mongolian culture perfectly.

With the English dub coming soon, I'm really hoping it's good, and I'm curious to see what the voice cast will be like. I wonder if they'll use MENA & SWANA voice actors for Sitara, Fatima, Muhammad, and the people of Tus, Persia. I'm also curious if they'll use a Mongolian language coach for the Mongolian dialogue in the first two episodes.

What Historical Manga you wish to be a live action period drama ?

There are several good realistic historical fiction manga like Vinland Saga, Emma : A Victorian Romance, Arte, Cesare and many more. When reading or watching anime, we naturally find ourselves imagining what a live-action adaptation would be like. So, are there any of the manga I mentioned—or any others—that you hope will be adapted into a live-action film?

What Historical Figures/subject & Period You'd Like to See in Taiga Drama

Hello, i'm new here, and i was japanese history buff especially about earlier periods like Heian, Kamakura & Sengoku period. Recently i've often eyeing on upcoming Taiga Drama announcement, and i've found out that usually a new Taiga Drama were announce every next year around winter or spring, also, there's a campaign before a Taiga is named, the various Japanese regions pick a famous historical character from their region and campaign it to have them chosen as the lead for the next Taiga.

For the next two years is double Bakumatsu, Oguri Kozukenosuke Tadamasa (Gyakuzoku no Bakushin with Tori Matsuzaka as Oguri Tadamasa) and John Mung (About Nakahama Manjiro/John Manjiro with Kento Yamazaki as Titular character). So Which Figures & Period would you like to see in Taiga

Personally i would want :

  • The Taiheiki in 1991 with Hiroyuki Sanada as Ashikaga Takauji were one of the rarest period being depicted in Jidaigeki besides Sengoku, Late Heian & Bakumatsu/Meiji that cover from late Kamakura & early Muromachi period/North & South court. Manga & Anime Elusive Samurai The Elusive Samurai bring back the hype of that period. I would like to see a remake of Taiheiki with modern/new actor. besides Takauji, i think Kusunoki Masashige or Sasaki Doyo would be fit as a subject.

  • Hojo Soun (Ise Shinkuro Moritoki) & Late Hojo Clan of Kanto. I saw some banner and in twitter/x about Odawara city bid for Taiga drama about Late Hojo clan. about Hojo Soun, the reason why Hojo soun not being chosen as subject probably because of his life were shrouded in mystery, Hojo Soun was used to be depicted as old or middle age ronin who rose up as daimyo, in recent theory by modern scholars, he was born on 1456 belong from the Ise clan a long time major vassal of Ashikaga Shogunate, he was in 10's during Onin War, 20's & 30's during handling Imagawa succession dispute and his invasion of Izu province. There's manga about him made by Yuki Masami (the one behind Patlabor) titled Shinkuro Hashiru!, you check what it looks like here

  • Takeda & Uesugi. their last major appearence were Furin Kazan & Tenchijin, nowadays, they always being mentioned, have small appearence or become major obstacle for the three unifiers. i would like to see a new Taiga Drama about them, for the Takeda would be generational like Aoi Tokugawa Sandai & Homura Tatsu. As for Uesugi Kenshin. He was a main subject in 69 Taiga Ten To Chi To, according on wiki, Kawanakajima was the climax of the drama, however almost all the record of the episodes were lost and only a small episodes remain. I would like to see the rest of Kenshin life especially after Kawanakajima, as how he react on Oda Nobunaga meteroic rise as dominant daimyo, to his final days in battle of Tedorigawa.

  • Earlier periods like Asuka & Nara period or maybe Heian era around Masakado's era (modern retelling of Kaze to kumo to niji to), Zenkunen no Eki (former nine years war) & Gosannen no Eki (later three years war) (Minamoto no Yoshiie). NHK did that with a miniseries like 2001 Shotoku Taishi, Taika no Kaishin (2005), Daibutsu Kaigen (2010) maybe new retelling of Shotoku Taishi Taiga, Empress Jito etc.

  • Kyushu & Shikoku Sengoku Daimyo such as Chosokabe, Otomo might be savest, Shimazu might be difficult due to imjin war, thats explain why we only see Shimazu throught Bakumatsu period. i wonder if Yoshihisa, the elder brother of three (Yoshihiro, Toshihisa, Iehisa) could work as main subject, and i saw on internet that Tachibana Muneshige & Ginchiyo were one of the top pick for taiga candidate in the japan's internet & social media.

Honorable mention :

  • Hosokawa Fujitaka
  • Mogami Yoshiaki
  • Honda Tadakatsu
  • Miyoshi Nagayoshi
  • Todo Takatora
  • William Adams

What if Gi(a)rlish Number gets an English Dub (an English Dub fan cast discussion)

Synopsis

>College student Chitose Karasuma is determined not to do boring things as she enters the adult world. To this end, this bad-mannered beauty barges into a facility that trains would-be voice actors and actresses, somehow landing a job at "Number One Produce," a seiyuu agency managed by her older brother, Gojou. In Chitose's mind, she's poised for greatness, but finds herself at a loss when she continues to only get minor roles. As she clashes with other girls in the agency, including a cunning airhead and a girl with a Kansai accent, Chitose is about to learn that there's more to succeeding in this competitive industry than she imagined.

"GAHAHAHA" i'm pretty sure you know this laugh right ? this is the cynical version of Sore Ga Seiyuu (Seiyu's life). From what I know about this anime, it's essentially a satire on the Japanese anime voice acting industry, i remember the part when they voice acted in a bad quality fantasy anime and Kuzu-P & Namba's shenanigans. The anime is licensed by Sentai, but it's not dubbed. I can imagine that if it were dubbed and done properly, the dub VA might had a blast on this one.

If this get dubbed, who would be the english voice actor for

  • Chitose Karasuma
  • Gojou Karasuma
  • Shibasaki Kazuha
  • Kuguyama Yae
  • Koto Katakura
  • Momoka Sonou
  • Kuzu-P
  • Namba

What if Sore ga Seiyuu! (Seiyu's life) Gets an English Dub

Synopsis

>Dreaming of becoming a top-tier professional in the fast-paced, competitive world of voice acting, rookie Futaba Ichinose frantically scurries around, searching for auditions and performance sessions. Rubbing elbows with some of the biggest names in the industry, she tries to find her own unique voice and style.

Along the way, she befriends two important allies: Ichigo Moesaki, an aspiring idol who claims to be a princess from another planet, and Rin Kohana, a cheerful child actress who tries her best to balance her career and school at the same time. Together, the girls brave the ups and downs of the entertainment industry—but as for Futaba, whose performance assessment at her agency is just around the corner, her career might be over sooner than expected! Sore ga Seiyuu! is a humorous and sincere celebration of the industry that gives anime its voice.

This is the notable voice acting theme anime along with Gi(a)rlish Number. Back in 2015, this Anime was licensed by Funimation, however it not get dubbed when it got a Home media release probably because of the Japanese voice acting industry and its seiyuu's cameo such as Masako Nozawa, Kamiya Hiroshi, Yui Horie, Yukari Tamura, Banjo Ginga and etc. i think it might still work by casting the closest counterpart for the english cast, it will be fun to see the english VA voicing the seiyuu's.

So, if Seiyu's life gets an english dub, which VA would want to voice the main trio Earphones (Ichinose Futaba, Ichigo Moesaki, and Rin Kohana) and the english counterpart of the Japanese VA guest cameo. fell free to share your thoughts and comments.

What other Rakugo theme Anime you wished get Dubbed

After the premiere of the English-dubbed version of *Akane-Banashi*, I must admit that the result is quite good! This reminds me of Sentai Filmworks' Chihayafuru, which successfully broke the common belief that Rakugo-themed anime—or those that are heavily influenced by and dependent on Japanese culture—are impossible to dub.

Besides Akane-banashi, there are several anime that have the same theme, you definitely remember some of these anime, right?

Althought its a longshot, but as long one of these anime get dubbed by the right studio, cast, director, and creative script i'm sure the result would be great.

So which one of these anime you want get dubbed ?
