What realistic or crazy moves would you love to see to keep globalizing baseball?

I’m posting from Spain, where baseball obviously isn't part of mainstream sports culture. Following the sport from afar gives me a unique perspective, but it also means I miss out on the day-to-day nuances that fans in major baseball countries experience.

I’m really curious to hear what big moves, structural changes, or international tournaments you’d love to see to push baseball’s global footprint forward. I’m interested in all kinds of ideas here—whether they are grounded, realistic plans or wild, long-shot dream scenarios that might seem totally crazy today.

For instance, one of my personal unrealistic dream scenarios would be a merged super-league between Japan's NPB and Korea's KBO to build a massive competitive counterweight in the Pacific, or a full integration of the Mexican leagues into a single year-round league.

What about you? Whether it’s inter-league mergers, tournament expansions, or radical calendar changes, what moves—realistic or completely wild—do you think would move the needle for baseball globally?

Weird (?) style films?

I’m trying to create a find films of a certain style I can’t name (I called it Quirkcore on my list, I accept other proposals)

These are for me a really good example of what defines the style for me:
- Edward Scissorhands
- Asteroid City
- I’m a Cyborg but that’s OK
- The Cat in the Hat
- Poor Things

In addition, I made up this description that may help:
Films that inhabit whimsical, meticulously crafted worlds filled with eccentric characters, deadpan humor, and heartfelt emotion.

Can I just walk into youth apartments and ask for a room?

Hey everyone,

I'm going to Chengdu for a 6-month study program this September. The university dorms are full for single rooms, and I'd really prefer having my own space (private bathroom, no sharing).

I've been looking into those branded youth apartments / serviced apartments – like Ziroom, UOKO, Homeplus (红璞), and similar "青年公寓". I've found some good options online, but here's the issue:

I'm currently in Spain, and these Chinese websites/apps are painfully slow, often crash, or just don't work properly for me. Browsing is hard, and booking from here feels impossible.

So my question is: Is it realistic to just show up at these apartment buildings in person once I arrive, walk up to reception, and ask if they have availability? Do they usually have rooms for walk-in inquiries, or does everything need to be booked online in advance?

I'm planning to book a hotel for the first couple weeks so I have time to look around, but I'm a bit nervous about arriving with nothing secured.

Also, if anyone has experience with these brands (UOKO, Homeplus, etc.), are they generally reliable? Anything I should watch out for?

For context, I don't mind commuting, so I'm flexible on location.

Would love to hear your advice
