umrah course/knowledge in Manc/Liverpool/NW area?

salams,

husband and i are going for Umrah soon inshaAllah. we are based in NW, England.

we don’t know much about Umrah, let alone how to perform it. husband is a revert & i didn’t grow up practising.

can anyone recommend a course in person NW area or online where we can learn about how to perform Umrah and everything we need to know for our journey?

gymwear that doesn’t break the bank?

hello!

i’m 25F, been working out since 16. only ever worn old oversized tops & random leggings/joggers to work out.

however i’ve now joined a female only gym and i actually want to look cute as i feel comfortable! i feel like it will motivate me as well to lift more.

much to my dismay, all the stores online i found are SO expensive!! £55 for 1 pair of pants? £50 for a TOP?!🥲🥲 can anyone help a girl out?! where are you shopping for cute but affordable & somewhat durable gym clothes?

i mostly resistance train & do yoga, and some running! please help xx!

career path struggles

salams girlies.

this post is just a vent really. i’m from the UK, have a BA (albeit in a useless field. literature & media!), and utterly hopeless on what i actually want to do with my life.

i’m 25 and married. i’m stuck in a crappy paid admin role (£26k…) which is driving me insane because i feel like im wasting 40 hours a week on this crap for less than £2k a month.

my husband works a much harder role than me and is on track to be successful in his field mA, but bc of how much my job drains me, i end up slacking so much with chores and he’s helping me constantly, which then leads him to slack on his work bc he’s so tired. yes it’s normal for him to help but he works 60+ hours a week & i really do be leaving the house a mess sometimes😭!

i’m thinking of pursuing a masters degree but i just don’t know what?! can’t do a PGCE bc i failed my science GCSEs :)))) (was suicidal at the time so i flopped hard in triple science). can’t really pursue anything stem related bc no science GCSEs. live in the sticks so barely any job opportunities. have applied to hundreds of marketing/communications roles as i have marketing experience under my belt but it’s rejection after rejection.

i’m now so drained from my crappy job that im considering quitting, but i can’t be surviving on my husband’s income alone while i have some debt left to pay off & saving. i just don’t know what to do.

Hamdulilah my friends are successful in their fields, some are doctors, psychologists, in IT, etc. etc. my siblings are on a good track too. it’s just me that is confused & need guidance, with no idea how to find it.

if you read this far, jzk. make dua for me girlies💕 been crying and praying to Allah for years now for guidance.

got the botox… now what?

i just had botox done. :/ they put some numbing cream on me and then took me to the room. they gave me some gas too (sorry idk the name. they said it’s what they give women when they’re giving birth).

it was honestly really painful. the injections were bad enough, i was grabbing onto the nurse’s hands so tight. but the worst part was when he put the dilator in. it hurt so bad. i was shocked at the pain actually. it just made me feel like im not normal. they kept saying “her legs need to flop down” so i also felt like i was a bad patient/client. the insertion of the dilator was excruciating tbh. i screamed, and i cried at the end when it was done.

then they cleaned me up and put some tape over me. the entire drive home was super uncomfortable and it was worse when i got home. i immediately sat down in a chair because i had that “desperately need to pee” feeling that i get when i use dilators. but i couldn’t pee yet bc i wanted to wait at least 2 hours like the doctor said before removing it all.

i finally peed, still felt awful bc the dilator was in. i then removed it which took ages bc it was just painful? uncomfortable? i’m not even sure. i hated it.

i’m finally just laying down now and crying. i don’t know if it’ll get better. the doctor told me to try penetration with my husband this evening. and then to reinsert the dilator and try to keep it in while sleeping. i don’t know how ill even manage any of that…

it’s so sore/painful. i feel terrible and i just don’t know if it’s gonna help at all. feel like ive wasted £1750.

😔i didn’t see any negative experiences like this when i was researching. obviously im only on day 1, ill have to see if it gets any better. but wow. i wasnt expecting this. 💔💔💔💔❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

topical vs oral for 25f AGA

i posted the other day about acquiring oral minoxidil in the UK, thank you for the replies all. i’m now struggling to decide which one to start with. i’m 25f, no kids yet but would like a couple in my 30s.

the only reason i don’t want to try topical is because im lazy and have depression so some days i genuinely cannot be bothered to do any skin care or hair care.

but im worried ill have heart problems or something if i start oral minoxidil, or it wont be effective after a couple of decades. how do you choose?

pelvic MRI - nervous!

i’m having a pelvic MRI next week through NHS, i’m so nervous! 😟 i’ve never had an MRI before, i’m worried ill feel claustrophobic and scared.

can anyone tell me about their experience, did it go smoothly? i’ve read that sometimes they insert things too, i really hope they don’t try that for me as i have vaginismus 😭.

uk private derm to prescribe oral minoxidil?

please can someone help me with how i can get oral
minoxidil in the UK? i’m really struggling now with my hair loss. the front of my hair is all see through and it’s embarrassing now. i can see people at work and extended family staring at my scalp!

i saw 2 dermatologists through NHS and they both declined my request for spironolactone & oral minoxidil due to my age (25f).

there is a private dermatologist near me but it’s £370 for a consultation. i’m wondering is it even worth it if she won’t prescribe the oral minoxidil or spiro either? does anyone have any experience in seeing a private dermatologist, will they prescribe it?

thanks in advance. (i have AGA diagnosed 2 months ago)

i’m getting vagina botox soon to HOPEFULLY have pain-free sex, or at least minimise the pain! 🥲the date the doctor could fit me in is actually my 2nd wedding anniversary too! but i don’t want to get my hopes up too high, just in case.

does anyone have any advice or prep tips for before botox? :) thanks in advance!!

most of my neighbours have loud dogs. from the hours of 6am-10am, some of them let their dogs in their gardens to do their business, but then don’t let them back in. this results in 3/4 dogs barking non-stop in the mornings, everyday! it can last for hours sometimes.

i don’t understand how it doesn’t drive the owners crazy? just let your poor dog inside so it can shut up😭 i feel bad for the people who work night shifts (although, i don’t think many people in my neighbourhood even work tbh)! and i feel bad for the dogs too🥲
