I spend forever increasing tension, because for some reason it can just be ignored (I bet Ukraine wishes they had known that), then when I finally get the war I've been trying to get, ai peaces out the very next fucking turn.
I always wondered why we removed prices. Surely the customer knows what they paid for something. It is not a gift receipt. So why? Then I realized. It's not to hide the price the customer paid. It's to hide the fact that the customer is paying $29.99 for a shirt my store had on last act for $9.99. Pretty scummy if you ask me.
I work for a company that, like most others, doesn't have a clue what the fuck it's doing. We have mandates pushed out by people from the head office who have no clue what they are saying. They are basing decisions on information that has been outdated for years but they won't hear it. They know better. Not the guy actually doing the job. So, fine. I see a hundred things a day where the company is doing things to cost itself money needlessly. I was a good little peon and reported my concerns and saw them go nowhere. OK. Keep spending millions needlessly because you're too arrogant to consider that possibly you don't know best.
What if it just wasn't offered? Here is what I mean. I live in Maine. Abortion is legal here. If a Maine resident wants an abortion in Alabama they are out of luck, because their right to an abortion is not recognized there. So what if Maine were to grow some balls and announce that if Alabama will not recognize the rights of Mainers to abortion, then Maine will not recognize driver's licenses or license plates from Alabama. Any car with Alabama tags is automatically pulled over and impounded because it is unregistered as far as Maine is concerned. If the driver has an Alabama license they are arrested for driving without a license. You know, since we can pick and choose what is accepted from another state and what is not. They want to fuck around? Let's go.
