I survived

Last week I had a medical emergency that required life saving surgery. I have a long road ahead of me but I made it! I lived! I am so grateful.

Don't neglect your health folks.

I hope The United States will get it together and give everyone health insurance. What happened to me was preventable but without affordable access to Healthcare I kept choosing to put off seeing a doctor until the only option was the emergency room.

One more surgery to go and then I can get back to thriving. Every day is a gift.

Convalescing

Boredom has set in

There's nothing to do

Only activity is to chew some more food.

No new programs on the TV

Don't want to read

Writing is a chore

I am lonely and bored.

Everyone has their life

They are busy, it's true.

Everyone has their life

I am lonely and blue.

Glad I didn't die

But I'm ready to live, too.

Did Al's Pancake World kill Cinnamon?

Watching season 1 episode 5 right now. Morey, Babette, and Cinnamon are walking down the street. Cinnamon is howling and Babette talks about how she and Morey are dispeptic after eating too many class from Al's. And then a few scenes later we have Cinnamon's wake.

The health inspector should have really shut that place down! Lol

Where it all began and now (10 years)

Found my first bullet journal and thought it would be fun to share how things have changed in the last 10 years.

What can you do now (with your hair) that you used to not be able to?

Early in my curly hair journey I couldn't rake any product in the hair without pulling curl out and losing shape. It didn't matter if my hair was wet or dry; soaking or damp. Running my fingers through would pull the curl out even before styling. Now when I refresh curls I rake product in and get the most defined curls!

How about you? What could you not do in your routine before because the results were bad but now give you great results?

Current routine: Wash at least once a week with Camille Rose moisture clarifying wash, Camille Rose moisturizing conditioner, and Kinky Curly Knot Today leave in. After cleansing I use Not Your Mother's Mousse and NYM Gel. Most of the time I diffuse to fully dry then scrunch out the cast. Other times I air dry and fluff.
