I am an experienced DM who has never had the chance to run Curse of Strahd before. I’m looking for a dedicated group of players who want to commit to a long term campaign and make friends in the process! 

Discord is mandatory for communication prior to and in between sessions, but sessions will be held in person at Quest Central Gaming Lounge in Port Coquitlam, BC. 

Important Note: booking a table at Quest Central Gaming Lounge does cost money that would be split between myself and players. I do not profit from this game whatsoever! The only money involved would go towards Quest Central. More specific details in the application.

Evergarde is a living world play-by-post Westmarch style server, mostly focused on synchronous play with regular live sessions, all text-based. We will be using our real-world calendar system and Central Daylight Time (CST). The server has a heavy emphasis on roleplay; players who only wish to roleplay and not participate in combat are welcome. There are two DMs and we are looking for a maximum of 30 players. 
While this server is not a traditional campaign, it is also not a traditional Westmarch server. There will be a strong emphasis on storytelling, as well as an overall arc with a beginning and end. We are looking for players who are interested in a community-based narrative. 
This is not a cozy campaign; stakes will be present and will intensify as the campaign continues. However, the overall tone will reflect that of classic fantasy stories: the hero’s journey, the fight between good and evil, and the power of friendship and community.

The following species are currently allowed: Dwarf (including Hill Dwarf, Mountain Dwarf, and Duergar), Elf (including Wood Elf, High Elf, Dark Elf, Sea Elf, Eladrin, and Shadar-Kai), Half-elf (including Wood, High, Dark, and Aquatic), Half-orc, Halfling (including Lightfoot and Stout), Human (including Variant Human)

The use of generative AI will not be allowed in this server. This includes images you have generated yourself, images you have found that were generated by AI, and the use of text-based AI such as ChatGPT. Please use unedited character art from real artists and credit them when you are able, or use resources like Picrew or Hero Forge to create your character image.

ERP (Erotic Role Play) will not be allowed in this server. Mature/NSFW subjects may come up in roleplay or chat but any sexual scenes must be Fade to Black only.
