Am I the only who feels that non-binary is "declining"?

Don't misunderstand me, I'm not saying NB is not real or a fad, but in the sense that in the last 2 years I haven't heard about NB so much as I used to do at 2019-2023, in the sense that:

-I don't heard or read complains about pronouns or gender-neutral language so much in the last 2 years as I do in 2018-2023.

-The hot news are more centered in geo-politics and economy rather than TQ issues.

-A lot of anti-TQ bills have been passed both in the US as in other countries.

-Anti-woke youtubers speaks more about Gaza or feminism than non-binary issues.

-I have seen many posts of "ex-NB" in the last 2 years than before 2024.

Is it my imagination or what?

What do you think about Gender Explotary Therapy?

My views on GET:

1- It is NOT Conversion Therapy, as tucutes say. Real CT is when someone tries to forcefully change your sexual identity by force and doesn't want any other result than such; while GET is about exploring if someone's wish to transition is based on real dysphoria or if it's trauma, autism, social contagion, etc.

2- It should be mandatory before medical transition, because it's a necessary gatekeeping. You should search if someone's wish to transition is a genuine and wiseful choice.

3- This would avoid many detransitions and mala praxis sues.

A lethal oxymoron tucutes have

Tucutes speaks about pathologization as if it was something terrible. But they have 2 views that contradicts one another:

  1. Being trans is not a mental disorder, and it must never be labeled as such.

  2. Medical transition must be covered by insurance or public health system by free.

I mean, something must be a illness or be a diagnosis to be covered by insurance or healthcare system. You can't ask a free treatment for something if you don't have a diagnosis of something. They want to receive the benefits of medicine without being ill.

How was your social transition?

Since I had enough memories (~7 years old) I did social transition, years before the concept of non-binary beacame politized (at least in my country). Basically, my social transition was, specially in my teens:

-Since I had memories, I didn't liked my first name, but I prefered the hypocristic/nickname of my middle name (Lauty) because it sound like an unisex name or surname to me (actually, it is, lol).

-In my school and scout group, adults called me by my surname. People usually refered to me as my nickname or without pronouns (My Native language has no mandatory pronouns).

-I didn't liked over-masculine activities, and I prefered unisex hobbies (trains, planets, Nature, green kinder eggs).

-I usually dressed and still dress with gender-neutral clothing: fine hoodies, soft shoes (imagine vans or converse or similar), lumberjack shirts, borcegos (similar to Doc Martens). Since my 13s, my hair is semi-long (longer than the ear lobula but shorter than my shoulders).

-I had a similar amount of male and female friends while I was growing up.

And well, I'm here. Nothing happened to me. Moral panic about social transition is just fearmorgering.

Do you think religious beliefs should be considered formally a delusion?

Maybe a burden topic here, but the DSM (the manual psychiatrists use to diagnose mental disorders) says something can't be diagnosed as a mental disorder or "It's part of a widespread or accepted cultural or religious practice" and I strongly oppose such criteria, lik, How can something be considered "sane" because it's common?! Like, something can't be a mental disorder in a place and being considered sane in other place: medicine is universal, not matter of opinion. If someone is having a delusion about being prosecuted, is "Ok, we'll treat you under anti-psycotics" but if you're having an hallcuination of God speaking to you in an evangelical church is it normal?!

What do you think about this?

How would you define "Nostalgic", "Old school/Retro" and "Vintage/Classic"?

I see many people discussing how many years must happen to something to be considered "Nostalgic", "Old School", "Retro" or "Classic". I will say my opinion not only in matter of years but also with generations.

-"Nostalgic" is something that, when happened when someone was a child, nowdays they're legally adults. For example, HolaSoyGerman videos (a Hispanic youtuber) are Nostalgic today, not only because of antiquity (their videos are 10-15 years old), but also because people who watched them as children now are twentiniers. Let's say 8-10 years old.

-"Old School" or "Retro" is something that, when happened when someone was a child/teenager, nowdays they're starting to have children. For example, most of 1990s and 2000s music are now old school becasuse people who listened to it when teenagers are now 35-50 years old adults who are starting to have children. Let's say 20-25 years old.

-"Vintage" or "Classic" is when that, when happened when someone was child/teenager/young, nowdays they're older adults with grandchildren. For example, "The house of rising sun" is a Classic or Vintage not just because of antiquity, but because people who was born in such year are now grandparents and having grandchildren. Let's say 40-50 years old.

A shower thought I had about anarchism

Anarchism doesn't only hate governments: it despise all kind of institution and authority, and I've read how many spanish-speaking anarchists (My Native language), they hate RAE (Royal Spanish Academy) because it's an official authority who dictates which is correct speech/writing and what is not.

Well, if in anarchism, there's no laws, no administration or bureocracy, no formal education nor official institutions with authority, language and speech would be free, in the sense that, if there's no someone decreeing a "correct way" of how to speak/write, language would be formed by custom mainly.

Well, if there's no Academy, each comune or region would have its own dialect, and if they're isolated enough or generations happen, those dialects would mutate so much they wouldn't be understood by other communes/regions.

So, unless there would be enough communication between communes, language would split. And

we should/would use media (movies, books, music, videos) from the 20th/21th Century as a kind of Fusha language (Google the conecpt) to "remember" how the language originally was.

How could we avoid this?

What gendered words do you think have a different connotation, and the, should be gender-neutral?

I feel good that English is a language without grammar gender and that most of words are not gendered. However, some words are gendered without reaso and their masculine and femenine counterparts have different connotations:

-"Wizard" sounds like a cool old man with superpowers, while "Witch" sounds like an evil and ugly woman.

-"Master" sounds like an evil men who breaks all humans rights and exploit others, while "Mistress" has been erotized so much.

-"Lord" sounds like a noble and important man while "Lady" sounds like a simple woman.

Do anyone feels the same?

Respecting a post I did the other day

I know I did a post of how I would want my future children to know i'm NB, and I know I've sinned a bit of transphobia in it. Now I've thought it a time, I have an idea of how them to realize in a more respectful way:

-Raising them as gender-free expectations or forced roles, that things have no gender and that they can play or drees with what they want.

-I would show them cartoons with non-binary characters so they can internalized being NB as normal/natural.

-If they grow up and they see my old art/posts, I will be honest with them and tell them about My Nature. They would see me as a ordinary human being instead of a disspaointment or Idol.

-I wouldn't mind if my wife speaks bad of me, as long she wouldn't teach my children to be transphobic and they would be respectful with me and other people.

-My title won't be "dad" but "Lalá" (the initials of my middle name).

What do you think about this raising method?

I want to be a parent in the future. I want eventually my children to know I'm non-binary. But if they know about it, I want to this process to follow the next criteria/steps:

1- I want them to be at least 14 years old, not younger.

2- I don't want to be ME who tell them i'm NB; I want to be a third person (my wife/their mother, one of my acquaintances, one of my friends...) or they discover it by their own means (example: they check my social media or art and they discover NB things).

3- If someone tells them so, I want to not be the main issue of the talk ("Hey honey, your other parent is non-binary"), but more like a casual comment ("Yeah, your father was a [slur]").

4- I don't want they relate non-binary-ness with something inherently happy, like, they could know I had gender dysphoria, I suffered anti-queer hate, as something embarrasing, or that my wife/their mother tells them as an insult or mockery, or as a "Urban tribe from decades ago".

Is this a kind of internalized enbyphobia? I don't want them to hide this, but just to follow this "instructions".

I have noticed in the last years, that almost all religions that were created from the last 150 years are sects, and generally toxic, authoritarian or where happens crimes. The only exceptions I find or think are Baha'i faith, Wicca and Tenrikyo.

Why can't new religions just be a pacific and happy place pf people worshiping false Gods and harvesting stawberries like hippies?
