had 1 teammate leave & the other griefing with only a knife & purp shield, made it out solo

went into Cryo with a blue shield, green bag and the M77 (all i had left in my vault basically) - freekit teammate quit after being killed by a team, my other teammate griefed the previous match & this one, died, and quit immediately; I stayed behind and hid with lvl 1 clearance until the final team exfil'd, then I scoured the map for bags until final exfil

I essentially turned the match into a Rook run and came out pretty loaded

This game still bangs

Came back to play this since I finished hitting max level on MWIII, and holy shit is this game close to perfect; it really should've been a 2 - 3 year COD game where they improved upon it instead of taking huge steps back like they did with MWII and even MWIII (ik that was made by Sledgehammer tho)

The gunplay in this game is so satisfying, I can actually aim on MnK without my gun bouncing all over my screen, and the TTK is also my ideal speed - I really wish IW would've at least taken those 2 aspects and copy/pasted them right into MW4, I have no idea why they're so set on having insane visual recoil as if these elite operators can't handle a fucking firearm

I'm also a huge fan of the movement, the speed isn't too bad even with tac sprint & there's no insane cheese you can do (even with slide canceling)

The only downsides are that HC Shipment/Shoot House 24/7 matchmaking is broken (the HC Hardpoint playlist) as you only get matched with 1 other player for some reason, and there are still a lot of blatant cheaters that have walls & aimhacks and do really weird, almost automated movements as if they're using macros or something - it's like watching a bot do a YY/360 spin/slide cancel before they lock on and kill you; it's pretty cringe imo

Overall I really wish this game had a longer life cycle and support, and I wish reporting actually did something instead of Ricochet just ignoring every game once the new one comes out

197 - 60 on HC Shipment

No airstreaks or wheelson, streaks are: UAV + Remote Turret + Advanced UAV

Highest kill game I've ever gotten as far as I'm aware

people that camp/lay down all match on Hardcore Shipment

why the fuck do you do that? you realize you can get more kills by running around, right?

i just dropped ~160 kills because both my team and the enemy team were laying down all match, no clue why anyone willingly lets themselves get farmed this hard

people coping & saying im lying about dropping 160+ kills in a match, here's proof:

167 kills with match stats

174 kills with match stats

both matches are from the same day, Hardcore Shipment 24/7

no airstreak kill farming, just UAV, Remote Turret & Advanced UAV + gun kills

8 years, my story & a question about symptoms

TW: discussion of what caused DPDR + symptoms

Backstory: I've had DP/DR since 2018 after a weed-induced panic attack (or something similar) that lasted about an hour - what had happened was I woke up one morning & before I went to work I took a small hit of whatever weed was still in the bowl from the night before (stupid to smoke before work, I know)

On my way to work I started feeling a little anxious, but not too bad; when I got to my job we had a morning meeting & that's when I started feeling a little weird, like I wasn't really present & in my body/mind - then as time went on, my vision went completely blurry & I couldn't see a single thing besides the bright white lights that were on in the room we were in; my entire body felt like it was tingling/buzzing as well, but that could've been from the weed (it was basically just a hit of ash honestly)

Since that day I've basically been cooked, and I'm not even entirely sure if it's DP or DR, but here are my current symptoms:

- tinnitus 24/7, increases & decreases in frequency/intensity (seems to increase if Im anxious, but i dont have anxiety issues)

- spaced out 24/7, also increases & decreases but never fully goes away, i get disoriented doing basic things & my memory is iffy at best

- everything i read or hear doesn't get fully registered in my mind, i can acknowledge it but i can't retain information most of the time; most verbal conversations are basically voided & pointless, but text is easier to follow along with

- sometimes i'll feel lightheaded, which seems to coincide with when im feeling "spaced out"

- vision is kinda fucky at times, i can't fully focus on something if it's far away (despite me having good vision) & things just seem blurry or jumbled

- my emotions are severely numb, to the point where i rarely cry or feel anything towards anyone (including myself) - i know i feel things like love for my family, but i don't *feel* it anymore, its just dull

- my physical senses are dulled as well, my body seemingly has less sensation than it once did

And here are symptoms I had that went away with time:

- constant feeling of things not being real

- thinking i was going through a "spiritual awakening" or some shit (i think the initial onset of DPDR fucked me up so bad i was tryna find a way to make sense of it)

- heart palpitations/feeling like i had a weird heartbeat

- overwhelming existential dread/questioning everything and whether it's real or not (kinda aligns with point 1)

I've kinda gotten past the whole "this is scary" phase of it & now I just deal with incessant brain fog and feeling like Im detached from my body (observing from within myself) and it really, really impacts my life; I have tried a handful of things (meditation, supplements, but not actual medication) and I don't think there's a guaranteed or solid cure for whatever this is, but I do feel like things will get better with time, as I've found to be true when comparing how I am now to how it was when I first started

I'm basically making this post to share what I've experienced & to see if yall have similar symptoms

Don't take this post as something to make you feel hopeless, cuz minor improvements happen with time & any progress is positive progress

Just dropped my first nuke

I was playing HC Shipment (Hardpoint) trying to farm camos on bullshit guns and ended up getting a nuke without really trying, I used UAV + Advanced UAV and after earning them twice I got a nuke popup (but no calling card? not sure where I can find that if there is one?)

I've gotten a few nukes on BO7 but that's not much of an accomplishment due to the open matchmaking tho, this game is so fire

Day One Patch?

I've seen mention of there being a day one patch for Campaign Evolved whenever people post about bugs/issues in the game, but is there any guarantee or info that we're actually getting one?

Why are people making excuses for the current state of the game?

#Edit: FINALLY, DEV COMMS

YET ANOTHER WEEK, NO UPDATE, NO DEV COMMS

Bugs that were present from Season 2's launch continue to plague the game, the meta is horrendous dogshit, and there's very little incentive to continue playing as the game doesn't respect your time when it comes to the loot pool - all issues that arose a month before the Bungie layoffs, yet people use said layoffs to excuse these things

These developers went from communicating weekly to not even providing consistent weekly updates or patches, and when they DO release something claiming it's been "fixed," it turns out to be false or causes some other issue that goes untouched for weeks on end; the ONLY "fix" that was implemented without fail was nerfing the loot pool & Cradle XP two times, back to back, because god forbid casual players have some fun with high tier gear without needing to grind 24/7 like no-life shitters (me) can

People here chime in with "I'm having a blast! I haven't seen X issue and I'm a 37 yr old electrician that plays 15 min/week" as though these problems don't exist because they don't see it themselves

Night Marsh was the main draw for Season 2, yet the Sponsored mode only ran for a week before being replaced by Perimeter for 2 or 3 weeks & then had the normal Night Marsh be timegated shortly after - zero logic behind that

Stop using layoffs as an excuse for behaviour that started way before the layoffs happened; Lockdown not spawning was an issue at S2 launch, invincible bots was an issue at S2 launch, queue resetting was an issue at S2 launch, mizzy/bubble/D54 battle pistol crutch continues to plague the game, lasers tripping when you weren't even remotely close hitting them were an issue at launch, Sentinel was advertised to be coming in S2 from launch & yet there's still no Cryo skin... along with a bunch of other shit I'm probably missing, these issues have largely gone untouched, yet they immediately nerfed the loot pool to absolute dogshit because people were actually being rewarded for once (and no, getting a gold implant in Pinwheel red room once every 30 lobby wipes doesn't count as a good drop rate)

I also know that I'm essentially talking to a brick wall by posting this because a lot of people here refuse to acknowledge anything remotely negative about this game, but holy shit there's no wonder why Marathon can't retain people when you look at the state of the game + how people largely excuse and/or attack any amount of criticism surrounding it

730 hours in Marathon btw
