Such an accidental but beautiful screenshot…

Originally (because I'm so clumsy lol), I wanted to record a video of me reaching Inter-Knot Level 60 so I could screenshot a few cool moments later. But I completely missed my chance to hit record.

Though honestly, I think this shot turned out damn good anyway. Didn't expect my fingers to actually clutch the timing and catch the perfect moment.

By the way, did you guys also stress over getting a pretty picture of reaching Level 60? Or am I the only perfectionist here...

I demand MORE screentime for Xiao and Lumine, they are literal cinnamon rolls!

Oh my god, I was waiting SO hard for Xiao to show up in this new event. To be honest, I absolutely adore the dynamics between Lumine and Xiao, and our Adeptus is just such a sweetheart...

I literally spent all my savings just for this sound and I regret absolutely nothing…

Honestly, I didn’t really care for her when she first dropped, but over time, those handcuff sounds started scratchin’ my brain just right...

And oh my god, the sound of her heels when she flips her cloak. It literally sounds like she’s walking down an empty hallway, that echoing click is so satisfying...

Lowkey makes me wanna become the asphalt she walks on 😩🙏…

Oh my god, seeing Dainsleif and Lumine fighting side by side against Ronova is just… so satisfying to watch.

Dailumi is honestly one of my absolute favorite ships in the game. Seeing these sweet precious cinnamon rolls fighting back to back… my heart is melting, it's so cute!!

I literally just started playing DMC 5 (coming from Genshin) and I’m losing my mind over how every single strand of hair is rendered…

I’ve been wanting to buy and try this game for ages, and I finally caught a sale and snagged it for just 2700 tenge. I just really wanted to share my thoughts because my emotions are running completely wild right now.

Like I said in the title, I’m a Genshin Impact player, so I think everyone knows what kind of graphics I’m used to. But when I booted up DMC 5, holy crap, it looks absolutely stunning! The very first screenshot I took was a close-up of Morrison’s face — my god, you can see every single individual hair in his beard, EVERY SINGLE STRAND, the detail is insane!! I’m just so used to anime-style games where, let’s be honest, the character models aren't exactly highly detailed or realistic.

Also, by the way, I’m playing on keyboard and mouse… and oh boy, it is SO hard. I’ve never really played games with this level of realism before, and there are just so many buttons. As a total newbie, I was struggling hard and basically just button-mashing. Tbh, I was just launching enemies into the air whenever I could and doing random chaotic combos. But** **thank god the game approved, because in my very first secret mission, I somehow miraculously managed to get an S rank 😲. I don’t even know how, but my mouse was literally sweating… haha. Damn, I remember doing this cool combo and then something randomly exploded. It scared me so much that the first thing I blurted out was: «I'm sorry, it wasn't me, I swear!»

I’m so used to sprint dashes in gacha games, so I was really surprised that Nero doesn't move like that by default. I solved the problem by buying the speed upgrade (might be a waste of resources, I have no idea what I should actually be investing in yet, I'm just buying stuff to make the gameplay feel comfortable). It's also so weird how the character just automatically transitions into a sprint without you having to hold any buttons. It's convenient, but I'm still getting used to it. Whew, god willing, I'll get used to the controls and become the coolest player ever, and I will definitely get that Smokin' Sexy Style rank!

Oh, and aside from the dynamic combat, the absolute best thing that feeds my eyes is the graphics! The level of detail on literally everything is mind-blowing. Genshin with its goofy-looking low-poly leaves can't even stand close to DMC 5, where beautiful chairs actually exist. The shadows, the buildings, and you can even talk on the phone! Seriously, every single object is crafted with such high quality that I just want to stare at it and take screenshots of absolutely everything. I'm telling you, after Genshin, DMC 5 is a breath of fresh air, pure realism, and peak beauty...

Oh, and I can’t wait until the game finally lets me play as Dante. To be honest, he and the combat mechanics were the main reasons I bought the game in the first place. Man, I didn't even know graphics could look this good. You know that feeling when you play a game and realize it completely justifies its file size and is worth every single penny? It’s such an insanely satisfying feeling.
Whew, hopefully, I’ll get used to these crazy combos soon!

Why Mitya has the most mysterious lore and origin in Snezhnaya? 🌝

I bet most of you have already seen posts like **«**Mitya is definitely an angel descendant!» or **«**Mitya is 100% an angel!» Sounds familiar, right? So, I wanted to break down every single theory and definitely add my own take on this! (Would love to hear your thoughts and theories in the comments below, let's go!)

^^ Oh boy, the theory that Mitya is an angel is probably the most popular one out there.
It all started because of the symbol in his hair strands, which looks painfully similar to the ones we see on Nicole and Zibai's outfits—and as we all know, they are angels. But that’s not the only hint that Mitya might be an angelic messenger, their helper, or simply a reincarnated angel.

^^ Even Ronova herself mentioned that Mitya has a «pretty unusual perspective on things» for a human. And she said it in a suspiciously dismissive way, like: «You are not even worthy of speaking to me.» It honestly feels like he has some personal history or a score to settle with her, haha. But okay, let's not make things up out of thin air just yet! ⭐️

Now, looking at Mitya's work on Project «Stuzha»... there’s a literal «Death Curse» hanging over every single scientist involved.

To explain: as soon as they started the experiments for the final phase of the energy research, the scientists participating just "died" from the curse.

But Mitya? While working on this exact project, he kept «reincarnating» every single time, though his memory would get wiped. Here is my theory: the other scientists are just ordinary humans, so the curse simply kills them off for good. But Mitya resurrects. It’s highly likely due to his angelic nature. He might have sacrificed something just to exist in this world — much like how Nicole sacrificed her voice, Mitya pays with his memory after each death.

^^ And then there's his scarf! Yes, yes, I absolutely love it, and I’m sure you do too :). But that's not the point. Have you guys noticed the patterns on it? Does it remind you of anything? What if we compare it to the patterns on Paimon's cloak... As we know, Paimon is a being from Celestia, even if she doesn’t remember it. They share very similar constellation patterns. I used to think Mitya just had a connection to Celestia, but if he is straight up from Celestia, it explains why he can derive formulas so fast and is overall such a brilliant scientist. It means his soul actually remembers the true structure of the sky, which is why he makes these breakthroughs in the project and pays for it with his memory.

On top of that, Odette literally mentions in her voicelines that the scarf seems to have a mind of its own. It’s definitely not a coincidence that it literally covers Mitya’s mouth whenever he’s about to spill too much information... 🌝

^^ Honestly, I’ve just dumped everything that was on my mind about him... To be fair, the Russian Genshin community is currently only hyper-focusing on the «Mitya is an angel» theory. But one way or another, I am personally convinced that he is deeply tied to Celestia itself. I mean, think about it: how else could he come up with such a genius, mathematically precise plan to overthrow the Heavenly Principles? Ordinary humans just don't possess that kind of knowledge.

Yeah, he is 100% from Celestia. I genuinely believe his lore runs deeper than we can even imagine right now. Oh my god, HoYo has to properly flesh him out and drop the big reveal in patches 7.2 or 7.3!!

My thoughts on the Genshin Impact x Vkusno i Tochka (basically McDonald's) collaboration that just started in Russia! 🍴

So, I finally grabbed the collab box! When I walked into the restaurant, there was barely any queue and no other Genshin fans in sight… but hey, it’s only day one.

By the way, to get the glider promo code, you actually need to activate THREE of these box codes. One regular standard box costs 399 rubles (about $4.70), so I did the math and realized that the whole thing will cost around 1,200 rubles (~$14.10) in total. Pretty decent price for a glider!

But omg, walking home with it was an experience. I caught SO many staring and envious eyes from local grandmas and little kids 😮‍💨. Like, why do people react like that to a simple anime box? Strange... To be honest, I felt a bit awkward and self-conscious with all that attention around me, but I tried to quickly pull myself together.

Oh well, they're probably just lowkey jealous of my haul.

Hmm, why do they look SO similar? Could there be a connection between them? ⭐️

While playing through the 7.0 questline, I noticed a very striking detail: Pantalone and Mitya share an insane amount of design and facial parallels. I know the community has touched on this before, but I wanted to share my own take on it.

First, the eyes and expressions.

They have almost the exact same eye shape and color. If you look at them when they close their eyes slightly and smile, they share the exact same "sly fox squint"—or what I like to call a "smug, satisfied smile." Even though their pupil patterns are different, the base eye color is a perfect match.

Second, the coat tailoring.

The geometry of their outfits is literally identical. Both have front flaps adorned with unique ornaments, and the back tails of their coats follow the exact same structure, complete with decorations at the tips. Also, we can't ignore the splashes of purple in Mitya’s outfit, which directly mirror Pantalone's signature palette.

Yet, they have a few differences: their contrasting behavior, hair color, the color depth of their clothes, and the metal of their accessories. Pantalone’s look is colder, more reserved, and elegant with his silver jewelry. Mitya is the inverse — swapping silver for warm gold. It feels like HoYo gave them deep visual similarities but explicitly gave them contrasting personalities.

Here is my theory on how they might be connected:
As we know, Mitya is one of the experts from the Royal Energy Commission who excels in energy tech. Seeing such raw talent, the Fatui naturally took him under their wing. Since Pantalone funds all major experiments and projects, he was the one pouring Mora into Mitya's research.Could it be that Pantalone... actually cares for him in his own way? Like, dressing Mitya up according to his own personal taste, visiting him during his lab sessions (after all, as the primary investor, he’d be deeply invested in the progress).Haha, maybe Pantalone just took a liking to Mitya? Who knows... This is just my small and fun theory.

Honestly, Mitya is such an interesting character when it comes to his true origins... I guess we’ll have to dive into that next time.

"Everything has its price." I am officially glazing him, look at this quality! 😭

There are only 3 days left until Snezhnaya, and the devs decided to tease us with a Pantalone video!

Ever since the release, the community has been flooded with theories about his weapon type if he becomes playable. My guess*? A Catalyst*. It just feels like the most elegant role for him. Also, he’s most likely gonna be an Electro character.

So, guys, are you ready to finally see him in Snezhnaya?

Stop celebrating Dottore's death in 6.6, y'all are blind to his master plan

Half of the fandom is celebrating Dottore’s death in 6.6, but y'all are literally blind to his master plan. Here is why he is 100% coming back.

So after the recent Archon Quest in version 6.6, half of the Genshin fandom was literally throwing a party cuz Dottore got "killed", while the other half… well, let's not talk about the sad stuff, I want to look at the arguments that, like, play into his hands for a potential comeback.

•. His master plan
Heh, did you guys really think Dottore would just let himself be burned to ashes in Irminsul? A tragic death, sure, but not for a mad scientist of his level.
As we know, Dottore split his soul into two halves.
The first half died in the Node-region and went into Irminsul. But the second half was kept as a backup by the 9th Harbinger. Pantalone basically waited for Dottore to die in the Node-region and then uploaded the second half straight into Irminsul.
So Dottore found his other half inside Irminsul and became whole again. He basically infected Irminsul like a computer virus. Nahida, seeing that Irminsul was doing completely terrible, panicked and started frantically transferring the most crucial data into the new system — Aaru. And as we all know:
if you transfer infected files from one drive to another, they’re still gonna be infected.
Because of this, Dottore can easily be chillin' inside the new Aaru system.

•. Hints in the cutscene.
The final cinematic where Dottore and Pantalone say goodbye was surprisingly… peaceful.
Dottore didn't even get a proper grand cutscene when he, like, dissolved into thin air in the burning Irminsul.
• Pantalone said goodbye to him with absolute calm. If this was Dottore's actual, permanent death, I think at least one of them, or both, would shed a single manly tear…
They said goodbye as if they’re both 100% sure they’ll see each other again in the near (?) future.

•. The ending of the chapter itself.
When you finished the cutscene, did you notice the hint? There was screen static and glitches, just like at the beginning of the chapter. Yeah, maybe it’s just a stylistic transition and stuff. But remember, when we defeated Dottore in the Node-region, the exact same screen glitches happened at the end of that chapter, and boom: in the 6.6 story, we saw another Dottore appear. I think it’s lowkey an easter egg for his return, there are way too many coincidences in this story.

•. The mysterious disappearance of the Pyro Gnosis.
Yeah, Nahida used it to burn down Irminsul. But after that, something should’ve been left over, right? But there was absolutely nothing left in the ashes, which brings up a very interesting question:
where did the remains of the Gnosis go?
There had to be at least some elemental energy left, the Pyro Gnosis and Gnoses in general aren't mere matches. Maybe the Traveler accidentally absorbed it, but I don't think so, he would feel it inside him at the very least.
The wildest theory:
Pantalone himself took whatever was left of the Pyro Gnosis and will use it to resurrect Dottore.
Cuz as Dottore himself said, he can be reconstructed using memories from another person's soul. And who knows Dottore better than anyone? Pantalone! This is exactly why I think Pantalone is gonna play a massive role in the future story.

Personally, I just don't think the devs, who have been feeding us new lore drops about Dottore, his backstory, etc., would just easily kill off this man, even if he is totally insane.

Why is our dear traveler so spineless? It’s just… strange to watch.

We all know that our main character is the Fourth Descended One. In fact, he’s stronger than the Archons — if only his original power were restored to him. So there you have it: the first argument in favor of the main character’s spinelessness.

Zero contribution to major battles ^

In every region, we help the Archons restore order and so on. But in reality, the Traveler’s contribution to any battle (think of the battles in Inazuma, Li Yue, Sumeru, Fontaine, and any region at all) is very small—and often nonexistent. Yes, the protagonist lacks that initial power and can’t give it his all, but in Fontaine and Natlan, for example, we already had half the elements—yet for some reason, our contribution in the major battles was dreadfully negligible. Perhaps the protagonist is acting as a spectator, thinking something like: “Look, my main goal is to find my twin—not these skirmishes…” (I’ll clarify the protagonist’s main goal at the end of this post), but then the question arises: “Why is the Traveler even running around in these skirmishes in the first place?” The answers to this question are simple, and I want to mention two:
- To collect all 7 elements, regain his former power, and leave Teyvat far behind for good—though without his twin, the Traveler might not agree to that.
- Because of Paimon
Let’s examine the second answer in more detail.

The Silent Companion ^

Our dear traveler can’t speak—just kidding. Or rather, that was my initial thought at the start of my long exploration of Genshin. In reality, we’re silent because Paimon is always cutting us off and won’t let us object. Yes, in recent patches, more lines have been added for the protagonist, but our protagonist’s voice still can’t really counter Paimon, who was originally just our guide but later became the voice of our innermost thoughts. In one of the quests, we were given a choice (it was Natlan’s quest, “The Omen of Annihilation and the Final Plea”): to destroy Teyvat or leave everything as it is. This provided some freedom—as if the protagonist’s word and decision still meant something—but when choosing “Destroy Teyvat,” the consequences of that choice were shown, and then the game still asked us to select the more canonical answer. But with the latest news about Genshin—namely, that our Paimon will be kidnapped and the Lord of Death will want to kill her—perhaps without her, we’ll finally have the chance to see the choices and decisions of the protagonist himself?

The protagonist’s silence is evident in all the quests, but it’s funny that in world quests, the Traveler does almost all the work—or at least a good 50% of it—while in the same storyline, we just stand there like a pillar or lie there like a brick.

By the way, the main purpose of our arrival in Teyvat has changed. Originally, we wanted to find our twin and save him, but in the chapter “Karibert” or “We’ll Meet Again,” we’ve already found our twin, and he essentially refused to leave. So our main goal now is:
to regain all our original power using the elements, and then we’ll have a choice (I hope they add such a branching path):
revive Kanriah, which is what our twin wants, or side with our Teyvat friends and launch Project Stuzha.

But perhaps the protagonist is simply gathering information and trying to understand why our twin became disillusioned with Teyvat.

Pantalone MUST be playable… or I'm breaking into the dev's office 💥!

Just recently, the developers have started giving a tiny bit of attention to our dear banker — the Ninth Fatui Harbinger. And honestly, he’s exactly the one I wanted to focus on in today’s post!
⭐️
HoYoverse has crafted a unique skeletal model for Pantalone that genuinely sets him apart from other generic characters. In my opinion, the developers did this with one clear goal in mind: to eventually release him as a playable character. After all, it’s no secret to anyone in the gaming industry that building a completely new 3D model base from scratch is a massive investment. Let’s take a closer look at the model itself:
I am absolutely in love with how much attention the developers paid to his accessories. His thin-rimmed glasses are modeled flawlessly, and those elegant rings on his fingers look like distinct, fully realized 3D objects rather than just flat, baked-in textures. It honestly warms my heart to see how much labor—and more importantly for a gacha game, how much money—was poured into this design.
We can already make a mini-conclusion here: this is yet another massive point in favor of our dear banker being playable (and I mean "dear" both literally and financially for our wallets).
⭐️
However, all of this seamlessly flows into another equally crucial point—or rather, a very strong theory of mine:
His major role in the upcoming story.
Pantalone is the ultimate face of the Northland Bank. Without his personal stamp of approval and financial backing, not a single project by any other Harbinger can even get off the ground. He isn't just running the economy of Snezhnaya; let's be real, he is literally pulling the strings of Teyvat’s entire global financial system. A character with this much institutional power deserves the spotlight at the very least, and realistically, a spot on the playable roster.
To back this up, we have to look at a massive detail from the recent 7.0 developer stream. The way they positioned him on the stream's promotional art is incredibly telling. He was placed facing forward, right in the center, and in a tight, close-up shot near the screen. In my eyes, this isn’t just a subtle hint about his massive influence in the Snezhnaya arc—it’s a blatant teaser for his eventual playability.
⭐️
And speaking of plot points, as we all know, Dottore's segments were wiped out, but... there is one massive catch. Pantalone might actually be the key to bringing him back. As Dottore himself mentioned, a segment can be restored using the memories of someone close to him—and who fits that description better than our dear banker? This is my personal little theory, or perhaps just a desperate hope, to see the resurrection of such a phenomenally written antagonist…
⭐️
Ah, I got a little sidetracked there, let me get back on track!
We can also look at his playability through the process of elimination. Let’s break down the remaining Harbingers:
• Pierro: Honestly, the community has always envisioned him as a massive boss fight. I don't know why... maybe because of his age? Granted, making the elderly into boss fights feels a bit disrespectful, hah, but knowing the developers, they could absolutely pull it off.
• Pulcinella: He has a highly specific NPC model. (Slight spoilers ahead!) There are rumors that the developers might overhaul his skeleton to make him playable later, simply because he is the official "face" of the region (just like Diluc for Mondstadt, Ningguang for Liyue, etc.). However, I seriously doubt how they'd actually change his model... it would be a very bizarre and risky move for HoYoverse.
• Dottore: Even if he gets resurrected, his chances of becoming playable are incredibly low. While he doesn't harbor open hatred toward the Traveler—and even directly suggested we join his side back in Nod-Kraj—he is completely hostile toward the people around us. The Traveler absolutely despises him for that. And let's be real, Dottore isn't exactly the type to come crawling back and apologizing to the Traveler just to get a spot on the gacha banner, haha...
• Capitano: In my opinion, he has already played his major part, and forcing him up from his throne now just feels rude, hah. Even if, theoretically, he shows up in Snezhnaya in real-time rather than just in flashbacks, I suppose there's a slim chance. He does treat the Traveler pretty well—or at least neutrally. Still, the odds of him appearing are incredibly low. Then again, the chances are never truly zero. That rule applies to everything when it comes to HoYoverse.
⭐️
This leaves Pantalone as the only logical candidate for the playable roster—or at least, his chances are significantly higher than any other Harbinger. Have you noticed how the developers have deliberately kept the most intriguing Fatui men unplayable or locked behind a massive question mark? That's a very interesting pattern right there...
⭐️
Now, some of you might argue: "But he doesn't have much time left to live because he doesn't have the elixir," "He lacks a Vision," or "His health is failing."
Alright, let’s dismantle every single one of these points.
• First of all, he controls the entire financial system of Teyvat. He was a close associate of Dottore, and there is a massive chance the good Doctor left behind the recipe for the longevity elixir. With Pantalone’s endless funds, it would be effortless for him to hire a team of top-tier scientists to replicate it—or, you know, just resurrect Dottore himself to do the job.
• Secondly, look at Skirk—she doesn’t have a Vision, yet she is playable. Sure, she wields raw Abyssal power instead. But who's to say Pantalone can't fight using hyper-advanced technology, ruin machinery, or... literally throw bricks of Mora at his enemies? Honestly, why not? It sounds like a wild crack-theory, but hey, stranger things have happened. Plus, he always has access to a Delusion, which is already a formidable power source.
• Thirdly, we already have plenty of characters who are practically walking corpses or dying on the go. Qiqi is literally a frozen zombie, Baizhu is actively coughing up blood and collapsing due to his contract with Changsheng, and Arlecchino’s hands are rotting away due to the Balemoon curse. Poor health or a looming death sentence has never stopped HoYoverse from putting a character on a banner.
⭐️
Finally, there is a massive meta-argument from a business perspective: HoYoverse absolutely loves this specific character archetype, and it makes them a ridiculous amount of money. We’ve already seen a mirror version of Pantalone's vibe achieve legendary status in Honkai: Star Rail—and that is Aventurine.
The similarities between them are undeniable:
• From Rags to Riches: Both of them literally clawed their way up from utter poverty and dark pasts to reach the very top.
• Financial Overlords: Both manage the ultimate financial powerhouses of their respective universes (Pantalone runs the Northland Bank in Teyvat, while Aventurine is a top executive for the IPC—the Interastral Peace Corporation, which controls the entire cosmic economy).
• The Aesthetics: They both share an undeniable obsession with luxury, sharp suits, and flashy rings.
⭐️
Both characters exude the exact same vibe of a dangerous, hyper-calculating predator hidden behind an elegant smile. The HSR community didn't just love Aventurine—they went absolutely feral for him, making him one of the most profitable and beloved characters in the game. Knowing HoYoverse, they are definitely not going to skip the chance to drop a similarly calculating, high-tier hunk into Genshin Impact. And that, of course, is our dear Pantalone.

** ‼️* A quick heads-up before we start***:
Hey friends! Just wanted to let you know that I wrote this entire post in Russian first and used an AI tool to translate it into English. Unfortunately, my English isn't the best, so I'm using this method to break through the language barrier and share my ideas with you. I just wanted to give you a warning in case some of the phrasing feels a bit "too perfect" or robotic! Thank you so much for understanding 🫶 and I hope you enjoy the read!

How did the devs completely ruin the Fatui in the summer event?

The latest summer event in version 6.7 has sparked a massive wave of emotions across the entire community. I really need to break everything down and get this off my chest.

If someone tells you that a character's title is "The Marionette," what kind of image pops into your head? Probably something mysterious, dangerous, and elegant. But let’s look at Genshin's reality and compare Sandrone's actual appearance in the event to what we originally saw in the "A Winter Night's Lazzo" teaser.
• First of all, let's talk about the most discussed topic: her redesigned look. Initially, she had this unique charm—a dangerous, gothic heroine with a sharp tongue and an untouchable aura. What we actually got is a complete downgrade from those expectations. It’s just another generic, overused design: off-the-shoulder top, a mini-skirt in the front, an open chest, and some weird cape trailing behind. Is this really what we've been waiting for? Absolutely not. And it’s not about complex animations either—just look at Ayaka or Yun Jin. This is pure, lazy fanservice.
• Secondly, what happened to her personality? Where did all her charm and mystery go? Why do I have to watch these forced "cute" interactions and her getting mad at Columbina, whom she apparently loves now? Like... mmkay. I don't even get why they were shoved into a summer event in the first place. Was it supposed to develop the relationship between the Harbingers? To put it mildly, it turned out awful, especially considering how badly Columbina’s character was ruined in the process too.

Alright, let’s skip that fanservice lollipop scene from Nod-Kray and get right back to the summer event.
• Let's look back at "A Winter Night's Lazzo" and what the other Harbingers said about Columbina. Everyone mentioned how dangerous she was, and Childe straight up admitted he didn't even want to fight her. Naturally, this built a massive wall of mystery and secrecy around her, right? Well, the devs completely shattered it! While her character was still somewhat acceptable before the summer event—assuming the devs just wanted to show her from a slightly cuter side—the summer event completely ruined her mystique. Let me ask you: why on earth is a literal Moon Goddess now hitting everyone with her cute little fists, making squeaky sound effects, and saying, "I just want to make friends"? Huh? You don't know? Well, unfortunately, neither do I. They turned her into some introverted girl who doesn't know how to socialize, and they went way too far with the cuteness...
• I absolutely hate how the devs are trying to develop the Fatui. Originally (going back to Lazzo once again), they built so much mystery and danger around this organization. For years, we viewed the Fatui as mysterious figures with tragic backstories. We expected more tragedy and a mature perspective when it came to exploring their relationships and lore. I really wanted to see the inner workings of the organization and how they interact, but definitely not the way it was presented in this summer event. The female members of the Fatui have completely lost all their strictness and mystique.

What are your thoughts on the new Snezhnaya characters?

The recent Version 7.0 special program finally showed us the long-awaited Snezhnaya and the characters from this region! I’d love to hear your thoughts:
• What do you think of the characters' appearances?
• Did they live up to your expectations regarding their 3D models?
• What specific details in their designs did you like or dislike the most?
Personally, I feel like they turned out way too doll-like and somewhat peaceful—or rather, too calm. Their faces look a bit too flat and completely lack any sense of danger. Snezhnaya has always been portrayed as the Fatui stronghold, a dangerous and unexplored place, so expectations were incredibly high. I expected to see strict designs, maybe even some grandeur... Perhaps the developers will refine the models, tweak some things, or add better shading later on. But for now, apart from Pantalone, not a single character appeals to me...

Beautiful Remielle at Lumin Square!(Прекрасная Ремиэлль на площади Люмина!)

I recently pulled Remielle because of her elegant design, snow-white wings, and deep lore. I’ve always loved angels, and Remielle is the perfect embodiment of one.

(Недавно выбила Реми из-за её изящного дизайна, белоснежных крыльев и глубокого лора. Ещё люблю ангелов, а Ремиэлль — идеальное воплощение ангелочка.)

Why are Genshin and ZZZ so completely different? It’s hard to believe they share the same developer…

Let’s look at the bigger picture first. HoYoverse originally designed Genshin Impact as an open-world game with a massive, sweeping narrative. Naturally, the game's core focus revolves around:
• **Discovering** new areas and locations.
• **Deep** lore hidden in books, boss materials (like the Dottore lore in Sumeru), and artifact descriptions.
• **Story** and overall atmosphere.

Because of this, event rewards and anniversary gifts feel quite scarce compared to games like HSR or ZZZ. Genshin is designed to make the player actively explore the open world, hunt for hidden crumbs of lore, find beautiful scenery to take photos, or just enjoy a quiet stroll through the streets of Mondstadt. The game hooks you with its massive map, rich world-building, and exploration. As a result, they don't feel the need to give out as many raw rewards as other HoYo titles.
On the other hand, a game like ZZZ shifts the focus entirely to dynamic combat, style, characters, and a very generous reward system (like the free pulls at the start of every patch). This is exactly why ZZZ has a better 75/25 weapon banner rate — the combat style, your Agent's performance, and the aesthetic satisfaction of signature W-Engines matter so much more there. Since ZZZ doesn't have an open world to keep you busy for dozens of hours, the only way to retain players is to shower them with rewards for logging in, completing the story, events, and other side activities.

**This leads to another wave of player frustration: "Why isn't there a skip button?", "Why can't we auto-battle for rewards?", "Why are there so few events?".**
\# First of all, as I mentioned earlier, the game emphasizes the story just as much as the locations. The narrative is made deep and long on purpose. Interesting details about the characters, Teyvat, and its history are deliberately tucked away in books and artifact descriptions. The game literally pushes you to study the world, run around, and piece the puzzle together yourself. That's why the fandom is so massive on building lore theories — the game expects this from you.
\# Secondly, there is no auto-battle feature. Maybe it's because they want you to actually enjoy the combat system. Or honestly, maybe Genshin just wants to consume your time through both the story and the grinding. It's safe to say Genshin is not designed to save your time; it’s built to make you fully invest yourself into it.
\# Lastly, the lack of non-stop events and massive rewards comes down to the fact that rewards are simply not the main focus here.

**A quick side note on a trend that’s become hard to ignore, especially with Snezhnaya's teasers:** Why has character design become so incredibly formulaic lately?
The pattern is always the same: men are fully covered, modest, and practical, while women are heavily skintight and exposed—bare shoulders, cleavage, and front mini-skirts, completely ignoring the freezing lore of the region.
• It feels like the developers are playing it too safe. Genshin is a stable cash cow that generates massive revenue just by existing. The devs seem terrified of stepping outside their template, fearing that a major design shift might turn players away. It’s not just about long skirts being hard to animate (which is why everyone gets a loincloth or a front flap). HoYo simply has no financial incentive to sink extra resources into groundbreaking designs when Genshin fans will pull for the characters anyway.
• Rage always turns into acceptance, and eventually, love. Look at the initial backlash for characters like the robotic maid Anby in ZZZ for looking "plain," Furina for her shorts, Arlecchino for her cruelty to Furina, or Raiden for her Vision Hunt Decree and escaping accountability. Despite the initial hate, players eventually pulled for them, built them, and grew to love them. Ultimately, Genshin prioritizes narrative and lore over revolutionary visual design, and it works every time.

**At the end of the day, Genshin is not about aggressive combat loops; it's about exploration and a sense of meditation.** You run around, discover new areas, read books, and theorize. Sure, a skip button, auto-battle, and tons of free pulls are convenient and nice to have. But Genshin is an endless sandbox where, even in a fully cleared region, you can still unexpectedly stumble upon a luxurious chest. :)
