addressing the “but we must respect our guests’ culture” hand wringing – I’m visiting seattle specifically to go to this game, because I’m gay and muslim and persian. we exist lol. so I’m wearing the large gay flag I bought in Capitol Hill just now, out of respect for my gay muslim persian culture.

i’ll preface this by saying i learned my lesson, this was a sketchy & potentially dangerous choice, i will never do it again…in my defense i was really horny 😩

I’m visiting from nyc. i meet up w random guys there on grindr all the time. i’ll travel to different boroughs for a nice dick. i thought that mentality would translate to toronto / the gta.

talked to several hot guys from different areas, from downtown to scarborough to midtown to north york, etc. i don’t have a car but the transit system seems pretty decent here, so i thought it was nbd to travel outside toronto proper and into the suburbs of the gta.

talked to this extremely hot guy in brampton. we exchanged photos, i was really attracted to this guy and we had great chat. but there’s no train line to brampton, just a go bus, and that felt one step too far for me, especially at 11pm (on a saturday). but he said no problem he will pay for me to uber there and back. i offered to split it instead but he insisted, no I’m happy to pay for it, you’re so sexy i want to meet up tonight, etc. but we don’t have the same money transfer apps because of the US-canadian thing. so he has to pay me back in cash. ok, no problem. so i hopped in an uber with some nice weed to share as a thank you.

45 mins later, I’m in this middle class single family home neighborhood right next to the highway. nothing to walk to or anything. i get out of the car and it’s so fucking dark i can barely make out the house numbers. every driveway has 2-3 cars like it’s all large families. it doesn’t look like anywhere a single guy would live. i start to feel uncertain about my choice to come out here. but this guy has stayed messaging me the whole way. so i message that I’m here. he says he’s coming out to meet me. i turn to ask the cab driver to wait a couple mins, but he’s already zooming away. fuck.

after waiting 10 mins I’m messaging wya bro, he says i’m outside i don’t see you where are you. i send my location and ask him to send his. he stops responding.

i start to realize i’ve made a huge mistake. potentially a very dangerous mistake. i sit down on the curb right under a street light and call an uber back to the city. it comes quickly and i am now sitting in this cab feeling angry and stupid.

wtf? does this happen? was i really dumb?
