On battlefield reddit, DO NOT ever make a post about getting better at the game. Otherwise, you will told that you live in your parent's basement, you are unemployed, and you need to touch grass.

The battlefield community for the most part is the most pathetic anti-skill out of all FPS games.

You are NOT allowed to be good at the game. You MUST be 2-17 at the bottom of the leaderboard, otherwise you are a "sweat" and you are "not contributing" to the team.

This is THEIR "blowing off steam and having fun" game, where it is dishonorable to attempt to think about the game more than just "aim shoot and reload"

Nobody cares that you work 72 hour shifts my dude, sorry to tell ya

Had to break through the line to push up to B myself! Went from cover to cover tearing through their soldiers and managed to push them back all the way to the point.

The M16 is awesome, just have to tap/burst at range and save your full auto for 15 yard or less engagements.

The last kill was a random shot that hit a SLAM mine LMAO. These guys thought they could pile up outside of B building and had no idea what was hitting them. Guy in chat was MAD MAD. Here's the build if you want to try it:

Once you figure this thing out, you will be BEAMING snipers across the map. This thing has no sway even with a 10x scope (which is what i'm using in the clips here) and the recoil will literally put your right back where you were aiming after it bounces up.

The closer the target, the faster you tap. Tap slower for further targets. You can rush points with this thing, or countersnipe and piss off snipers easily. Good luck!

I’m going to lay out opinions and facts here, you are free to refute or rebutle each point. Please put the exact point number you are responding to. I am entitled to my own opinions, as are you

1. This game looks like it’s for 10 year olds. The pink/yellow/orange whatever bright colors are extremely cringe. Titanfall at least had some clean tactical looking characters that meshed with actual lore. Empulse is filled with ai generated looking slop characters

2. The maps are bland and boxy. Platforms and ramps and big walls for wall running instead of art style friendly placements. Shipping crates are so lazy. Just throw in a bunch of walls and call it a day right? The gameplay will come after right? No. Bad.

3. The guns are generic and just flat out boring. Even splitgate had some punchy weapons that felt relatively satisfying to use. In Empulse, we get some backrooms interpretations of guns instead of weighty-feeling intimidating weapons. These guns don’t look intimidating at all, they look like a little kid drew them in their middle school notebook. Instead of getting “XC-47 Tactical Assault Rifle” we get “Gun”. Do you see what I mean?

4. The mechs are pathetic. They are a gimmick, not an integral part of the game. They are literally slop. Not even a killstreak? Just spawn it in a room on the map? Nice. What a joke. To compare this to titanfall is just insulting

5. The paint stuff is also a gimmick. This is going to be another game where the skill ceiling is so high, that casual players will give up and lose interest because someone who can use the paint gimmick will be untouchable. This is a core reason the game will fail, just like the splitgate portals (regardless of how fun or satisfying they are, I mastered splitgate portals, but this is a reason why splitgate failed.

1047 thinks they need a “core gimmick” that differentiates themselves from other shooters. You don’t need equipment that does this. The gameplay itself and gunplay is what does this

The sad reality is that they have made every wrong decision. This game will fail worse than splitgate, we can track the numbers together. It’s like the devs are living on a different planet. Such a great engine with perfect hit detection and fluidity, wasted on this slop. You could have made a top 10 FPS but instead we got this slop that will have less than 200 concurrent players after 3 months

What planet do these devs live on, where they would expect $20 for this joke of a game, when Splitgate was free? This game is a tiny smelly turd with zero attempt to polish it.

Toss this slop in the trash, and start over. This game looks like its target market is middle school kids. People are tired of hero arena shooters with pink hair female characters with stupid voice lines. People are tired of platform and ramp maps with wall-running. People are tired of hyper-stylized cartoony reload animations. People are tired of colorful rainbow moron slop.

This dev and decision maker team are the worst I’ve seen in my life. Splitgate 2 was amazing, but the skill gap was too high for casual players. Arena reloaded took away my favorite mode, and added more health. Nothing else changed, and that killed it for me so I left.

I could LITERALLY spend 1 minute writing a game out to be developed that would easily become a top 10 FPS on Steam, possibly top 5. It’s so easy. Instead, these morons are sweating and devoting their lives to a niche that NOBODY asked for or has interest in, and can’t even make a decent game for that niche.

If you pull out your credit card and purchase this game, it is safe to say that your IQ is below 80, and have cognitive disability.

What an embarrassment.
