transferring? mac to uw eng

Anyone here transfer from Mac to UW Engineering?

I’m an incoming student at Mac and was just trying to figure out my options.

I have Free Choice at Mac, but I’m wondering how difficult it is to transfer into Waterloo SE, for example.

It seems like SE has become a lot less competitive than it was 3–4 years ago.

Appeal Rejection (help)

Hi everyone,
I recently received my decision for Waterloo Engineering (Tron) and unfortunately I was not admitted. I am trying to understand if there is any realistic option to appeal or request a review.

I had a 97.8 average, strong extracurriculars, and I put a lot of effort into my AIF. It was also reviewed by current Waterloo students who gave me positive feedback. I understand how competitive the program is and I am not questioning the decision, I am just trying to understand if there is any legitimate path forward.

I have also heard of people appealing engineering rejections before which is why I wanted to ask if anyone has experience or insight into this process.

If anyone knows, I would really appreciate guidance on:

Whether Engineering admissions decisions can actually be appealed

Who to contact at Waterloo if this is possible

What should be included in a message or email if there is a process

Whether appeals are realistically considered or if decisions are generally final

Thank you for your time and any advice.

Please pray Tahajjud tonight. Tomorrow could be an important day for many of us. Please keep me in your dua as well for Waterloo Engineering.

The best is yet to come, Inshallah.

These next two weeks are crucial for many of our futures. Stay consistent with your salah and prioritize Tahajjud. Make sincere dua for one another, and ask Allah to grant us ease and acceptance into what is best for us.

Please keep me in your duas as well, that I get into Waterloo Engineering.

Ameen 🤲
